GROUP in BERLIN.in Berlin. As is known, camphene can be obtained from pinene chlorohydrate by heating with the alkali salts obtained from the phenols. However, this method has the disadvantage that the camphene obtained always contains phenol and can only be removed from it through a special operation got to. It is much easier and easier to get to the same goal if you follow accordingly In the present invention, the alkali salts of the completely non-volatile phenol sulfonic acids and allows their substitution products to act on pinene halide hydrate. The phenol sulfonic acids are recovered unchanged in the form of a monosalt. Beispiele.Examples. ι. Hierauf wird das entstandene Camphen mit Dampf abgeblasen.ι. 100 kg of phenol sulfonic acid soda, 25 kg Sodium hydrate, 200 kg of water and 60 kg of pinene chlorohydrate are in the autoclave for 8 hours heated to 2io °. The resulting camphene is then blown off with steam. 2. 140 kg ß-naphtholsulfosaures Natron, 25 kg Natronhydrat, 300 kg Wasser und 60 kg Pinenchlorhydrat werden in der gleichen Weise, wie vorstehend angegeben, erhitzt und weiter behandelt.2. 140 kg of ß-naphtholsulfonate of soda, 25 kg of sodium hydrate, 300 kg of water and 60 kg of pinene chlorohydrate are used in the same Way, as indicated above, heated and further treated. When using the sulfonic acids of resorcinol, hydroquinone, guaiacol and their Substitution products give the same results. The pinene chlorohydrate can through Pinene bromohydrate and pinene iodohydrate are replaced.
