Abstract

Rainwater which is collected from a building roof is discharged to a holding tank (1) with a filter chamber (2) and filter (9) resting on a central connector (10). An upright pipe (18) with a second inner flow- regulation pipe (8) discharges to the filter (9). A closing disc (10) is positioned at the base of the down-pipe. The filter is cleaned from time by back-flushing.

Description

Fig. 1 shows a collecting container ( 1 ) with a filter chamber ( 2 ), in which there is a filter screen ( 9 ), which is mounted centrally on a drain pipe ( 10 ). An inlet pipe ( 18 ) in the form of a T-piece is arranged above the filter screen ( 9 ). Centrally in the inlet pipe ( 18 ) there is a vertically movable regulating rod tube ( 8 ) which runs through the filter screen ( 9 ) into the outlet connection ( 10 ). At the foot of the regulating rod tube ( 8 ) there is a shut-off disk ( 14 ) with a rubber flat gasket ( 13 ) at a certain distance from the outlet connection ( 10 ).

Also connected to the regulating rod tube ( 8 ), there is a further shut-off disc ( 5 ) with a rubber flat seal ( 4 ) above the filter screen ( 9 ), at the same distance from the outlet of the tube ( 18 ) as the shut-off disc ( 14 ) with rubber flat gasket ( 13 ) to the outlet nozzle ( 10 ).

Funktionfunction

The roof drain water reaches the filter chamber ( 2 ) in the direction of the arrow ( 3 ) through the inlet pipe ( 18 ). The water is cleaned from the filter screen ( 9 ), and passes through the drain pipe ( 10 ) into the container ( 1 ). The filtered water can now either flow into the infiltration system (arrow 15 ), or with a float switch pump ( 16 ) a regulated rain system ( 17 ), or a rainwater harvesting.

The backwashing is carried out by pulling the regulating rod tube ( 8 ) upwards until the locking pin ( 7 ) is located above the filter chamber cover. The rubber flat seals ( 4 ; 13 ) now close the respective openings ( 10 , 18 ) Fig. 2nd

With a slight rotation of the regulating rod tube ( 8 ) the shut-off discs ( 5 ; 14 ) with the rubber flat seals ( 4 ; 13 ) are locked in the current position.

The water necessary for backwashing can either be fed with a water hose from the drinking water network to the regulating tube ( 8 ), or it is pumped ( 16 ) during raining by closing the valve ( 12 ) and opening the valve ( 11 ) to the regulator rod tube ( 8 ) fed. The backwashing process is done by water pressure. Through a nozzle system in the lower area of the regulating rod tube ( 8 ), more precisely in the area of the filter sieve ( 9 ), the backwash water hits the filter surface from the inside out and flushes the dirt over the pipe socket ( 6 ), onto which a drain hose is attached, into the open.
