Die Erfindung betrifft einen sogenannten »Streichtopfa, der in allen Bäckereien, Konditoreien, Hotels usw., wo gewisse Backwaren mit Butter, Eiern usw. mittels eines Pinsels bestrichen werden, gebraucht wird. Die bis heute verwendeten Behälter, in welchen sich die flüssige Butter, die ausgelassenen Eier usw. zum Bestreichen befinden, sind bisher gewöhnliche Töpfe o. dgl., deren Inhalt entweder ohne jede oder mit unzureichender Bedeckung dem Zutritt von Insekten ausgesetzt war, die dann darin ertrinken und leicht auf der Backware verrieben werden. Der Streichtopf c ist ein gewöhnlicher, oben und unten gleichweiter Behälter. An der Innenseite dieses Behälters c sind drei schwalbenschwanzförmige Leisten d angebracht, die dem Deckel e als Führung dienen und ihn daran verhindern, daß er aus seiner wagerechten Lage herauskommt. Der Deckel e erhält den Führungsleisten d entsprechende Nuten und ist aus emailliertem Eisenblech als Sieb mit etwa ungefähr 2 mm großen Löchern gefertigt, die dazu dienen, den Topfinhalt hindurchtreten zu lassen. Der Deckel e ruht auf einer Kegelfeder g, welche mit dem kleinen Durchmesser an der Unterseite des Deckels befestigt ist. Im übrigen liegt die Feder g lose im Behälter c, so daß sie mit dem Deckel e zusammen jederzeit aus dem Behälter c gehoben werden kann. Die Feder g gibt bei leichtem Aufdrücken durch den Streichpinsel nach. Die Flüssigkeit tritt alsdann durch die Löcher über den Deckel e und bewirkt so eine Anfeuchtung des Pinsels zum Bestreichen. Die Feder g läßt sich vollkommen zusammendrücken, so daß der letzte Rest der im Behälter c enthaltenen Flüssigkeit aufgebraucht werden kann. An der Oberseite des Deckels e ist ein kleiner klappbarer Griff h angebracht zum Herausheben des Deckels e nebst der Feder g. Eine Reinigung des Deckels e von daraufliegenden Insekten und Schmutz ist daher vor jeder Benutzung des Streichtopfes leicht möglich.The coating pot c is an ordinary container with the same size above and below.
