The present innovation relates to a container for storing and disinfecting objects such as scissors, combs, curlers and the like, consisting of an essentially rectangular lower part that is open at the top and an attachable upper part provided with a handle.

The cleaning and disinfection of tools and equipment, especially in the hairdressing and cosmetics sectors, is becoming increasingly important as the population becomes more health conscious.

Up to now, cleaning and disinfection was usually carried out by placing the tools or equipment in a container filled with an appropriate liquid; after the cleaning or disinfection process, the individual tools were removed and placed on a suitable surface to dry, or the liquid was poured out of the container so that the equipment could dry.

The aim of this innovation is to create a container for storing and disinfecting objects that makes work considerably easier, takes up little space and whose cleaning or disinfecting liquid can be used multiple times.

Preferably, the upper edge of the lower part is provided with a convex curvature and the lower end of the raised stand is provided with a concave curvature that matches it.

Advantageously, the base of the insert part is provided with a plurality of upwardly curved ribs arranged parallel to one another and at a distance from one another, between which a plurality of drip slots are provided.

It is particularly advantageous if the inner surface of the long sides of the insert part is provided with vertically arranged, paired guide grooves for the legible accommodation of partition walls.

The invention provides the advantage that after the prescribed cleaning or the required disinfection of the tools, the insert part only needs to be

is pulled upwards until the two pivoting raisers are supported on the curved upper edge of the lower part, so that in this position the tools or work equipment come above the level of the cleaning solution and the dripping liquid is safely collected in the lower part. After drying, the tools can be removed and used again, after which the two raisers are folded outwards for another cleaning or disinfection process and the insert is lowered into the liquid again.

The attachable lid protects both the liquid from external contamination and the operator from any unwanted escape of cleaning fumes.

The innovation is explained in more detail below using the drawing, which shows an advantageous embodiment. It shows:

Figure 1 is a perspective view of the container with the insert part raised;

Figure 3 is an enlarged sectional view through the lower part, the raised part and the insert part.

In Figure 1, 1 designates a substantially rectangular lower part which is open at the top and serves to hold _a cleaning or disinfecting liquid. An insert part 2 adapted to the shape of this lower part 1 can be inserted into this lower part 1, which is open at the top and is provided with a perforated base.

The perforated base can have a plurality of upwardly curved ribs 7 arranged parallel to one another and at a distance from one another, between which a plurality of drip slots 8 are provided at the deepest points.

On the outside of the two narrow sides of the insert part 2, lifting supports 4 are arranged in such a way that the insert part 2 can be completely lowered into the lower part 1 for cleaning or disinfection and that after pulling up and appropriately pivoting the lifting supports 4, they support themselves on the upper edge of the container.

and work equipment are therefore subjected to the influence of the disinfectant liquid, whereby the attached lid 3 with a handle 5 prevents the penetration of foreign bodies into the container and the escape of vapors from the container.

Figure 3 shows a section through the left narrow side of the lower part 1, the insert part 3 and through one of the raised stands 4. Preferably, the upper edge of the lower part 1 has an upwardly directed, i.e. convex, curvature 10, while the lower part of the raised stand 4 has a concave curvature 11 adapted to it in order to ensure a secure stand during dripping on the lower part. The upper end of the raiser 4 is hingedly attached to a bearing shell 6 which extends outwards in a substantially horizontal manner in such a way that it engages, for example, with two thickenings 12 in corresponding recesses between lips 13, 13', whereby the articulation point of the thickening 12 has such a distance from the narrow side of the insert part 2 that after the insert part has been lifted and its convex curvature 11 has been removed from the concave curvature 10, the raiser 4 comes to lie next to the narrow side of the lower part 1 in such a way that the insert part 2 can be lowered into the lower part without the raiser causing interference. This means that the insert part can be lowered from the dripping position to the cleaning position with a single movement of the hand without

-6-first the raisers 4 must be unfolded.

On the inner surfaces of the long sides of the insert part 2, pairs of opposing, essentially vertical guide grooves 9 can be provided, into which partitions can be inserted in order to separate e.g. scissors from hair curlers and hair curlers from combs.

The new container, which is preferably made entirely of plastic and thus has a very high corrosion resistance against conventional cleaning and disinfection agents, takes up little space and meets all hygiene requirements in the cosmetics sector.
