Die Restfeuchte ist die nach dem Schleudern der Wäsche zurückgebliebene Feuchtigkeit. Sie wird in Prozent, bezogen auf das Gewicht der Trockenwäsche, angegeben. Der Grad der Entwässerung und damit der erreichbare Restfeuchtewert ist unter anderem abhängig von der Waschtrommeldrehzahl, vom Trommeldurchmesser, von der Zusammensetzung der Wäsche, von der Verteilung der Wäsche in der Trommel sowie von der Schleuderdauer. Bei der Bestimmung des zur Anzeige kommenden Restfeuchtewertes im Anzeigedisplay 7 ist es zweckmäßig mindestens einen Teil der aufgezählten Kriterien, die auf den Grad der Entwässerung einen Einfluß haben, bei der Berechnung des Restfeuchtewertes zu berücksichtigen. Der bestimmte bzw. errechnete voraussichtliche Restfeuchtewert wird dem Benutzer unmittelbar nach Abschluß der Waschprogrammwahl im Anzeigedisplay 7 zur Anzeige gebracht. Der zur Anzeige kommende Restfeuchtewert kann auch aus den Daten des gewählten Waschprogramms in Verbindung mit den Daten der gewählten Schleuderdrehzahl bestimmt werden. Zweckmäßig ist es auch, die Daten des gewählten Waschprogramms mit den Daten der jeweils gewählten Zusatzfunktionen zu verknüpfen und daraus den zur Anzeige kommenden Restfeuchtewert zu ermitteln. Der im Anzeigedisplay 7 dargestellte Restfeuchtewert kann auch durch während des Waschprogrammablaufs ermittelter weiterer wäsche- und/oder maschinenspezifischer Parameter korrigiert werden. Solche Parameter können z.
