Description
The invention relates to a cap for covering screw heads in the surface of wooden walls, which can be seen on wooden buildings or Wooden building elements are located, and a tool for the production of the Cap according to the preamble of the claims. It is in the wood processing industry, for example in the furniture industry, in the Joinery, joinery and carpentry applicable in the same way.
Cover caps for screw heads are usually made of white Plastic. These caps are natural or artificial Wood grain not adapted to the existing surfaces, act as Foreign bodies and are therefore not very aesthetic. On the other hand, it is complicated to imprint a grain on the cover caps.
The object of the invention is therefore to cover the material and to design the geometry in such a way that it can be easily and safely manufactured, is comfortable to use and does not interfere with the view.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features of Characteristic of the 1st claim solved. The cap has So a wood grain and is therefore already inconspicuous. It is preferably made of the same wood as that Wood wall or it has the same grain as the surface of the Wooden wall. The pin is made of one piece with the cap cylindrical in shape and small in relation to the cap Diameter, e.g. 2-3 mm. It is in its diameter and in its Length adjusted to the slots or cross slots of the wood screws. In general, there may be other shaped recesses in the heads of the screws, which the pins at least in terms of their Length are adjusted. Preferably, the pin on the back of the Cover cap arranged centrally.
It has been shown that such pins according to the previously known Technologies that first use a profile turning tool Cover cap including pin turned and then with a additional tool and in a separate operation on the tenon is tapped, difficult or not reproducible to produce. The Wood behaves at the given rotational speeds and Forces too brittle, so that the pin is regularly destroyed when parting off becomes. According to the invention, a cover cap is produced Advantageous turning tool made of wood with end grain, one Radius cutting edge and a cone cutting edge, which a parting tool is assigned if the parting tool is on the cutting edge Rotary tool is formed, which is in the feed direction of the Turning tool against the tenoning edge by about Pin diameter is reset and in the profile of the turning tool has the same height as the end grain. Advantageously exist One-piece turning and parting tool. So that when tapping the cap does not jam is the turning tool Conveniently designed so that the distance of the end grain cutter from the tenoner depending on the distance from the cutting edges enlarged in profile so that the end grain cutter against the Tenon cutter is inclined, enclosing an angle with it. To this In this way, a free space is created in which the cap after the Parting on the radius cutter unhindered into a collection container can roll. In addition, the cap and spigot are by the Profile shape supported when detaching.
Es zeigen:Using the following schematic drawings, the Invention explained in more detail. Show it:

FIG. 6 shows a cross section of the turning tool along a line CC in FIG. 2.
In Fig. 1 is made of wood, provided with a curvature 3 cap 1 with a centrally arranged pin 2 which can be inserted into a screw slot, not shown. The workpiece 1 , 2 is radially symmetrical to an axis XX.
In FIGS. 2 and 3 a profile turning tool 4 is shown at an attachment piece 5 which serves for securing the rotating tool 4 to a not shown support a lathe. The turning tool 4 comprises, in one piece of the same material, a end grain cutter 6 , a radius cutter 7 , a tenon cutter 8 and a parting tool 9 , which are arranged at different heights. The end grain cutter 6 has on the side of the radius cutter 7 a hollow flank 10 , which also does not run parallel to the tenon cutter 8 . An intermediate space 11 located between the end grain cutter 6 and the tenon cutter 8 widens in the direction of the fastening piece S. The radius cutter 7 widens with increasing distance from its cutting edge without the profile shape changing significantly. As shown in Fig. 2, the cutters 6 , 7 , 8 are arranged so that first the end grain cutter 6 , then the radius cutter 7 and the tenon cutter 8 and finally, immediately after completion of the tenon 2 , the parting tool 9 take effect. For this purpose, the vertical cutting edge 15 of the parting-off tool 9 is offset from the horizontal cutting edge 14 of the tenon cutter 8 by approximately the diameter of the tenon 2 in the direction of the fastening piece 5 . Likewise, the cutting edge 14 is set back relative to the horizontal cutting edge 13 of the radius cutter 7 , so that it becomes effective after the cutting edge 12 , the course of which is given by the inclined hollow flank 10 . The cutting edges 12 and 13 of end grain cutter 6 and radius cutter 7 are at the same height, but the cutting edge 12 is effective first because the profile turning tool 4 is applied axially to the workpiece 1 , 2 and the cutting edge 13 is located below the axis XX. The radius cutter 7 and the tenon cutter 8 support the workpiece 1 , 2 during its machining, including the tapping.
In Figs. 4 to 6, the profile AA, BB, CC indicate that the gap 11 down continuously extended to the mounting piece 5 so that the workpiece 1, 2 can not jam and after the separation on the pin 2 through the sticking tool 9 can get into a collector, not shown, as a finished covering cap 1 with a peg 2 .
