Abstract

Dirt content of the oil is concentrated in a circuited cyclone (10) so the cleaned oil returns to circuit as opposed to the oil concentrate in the cyclone which is fed to a continuous centrifuge (11). Cleaned oil may be fed to a sump (1) and the valve (3) controlling the division into main and regulating circuits (9) functions on the basis of oil pressure upstream of the lubricating points. At the base 4/2 valve setting, oil is pumped (2) through filter (4) and cooler (5) to consumer points (7), feeding this pressure back (8) to switch the regulating valve over to ensure required oil pressure on demand. Cyclone and centrifuge progressively clean oil prior to return to circuit via collecting sump.

Description

The invention relates to an oil circuit in a Ver Internal combustion engine according to the preamble of claim 1 Art.

A cyclone, the oil, is known from DE 40 37 983 A1 from a crankcase of an internal combustion engine escaping gas stream exits.

In practice, oil circuits are still in use voltage engines known, in which the oil in each case in egg NEN main circuit and a secondary circuit or Abre gel cycle is divided. These control loops are used to increase the speed at high speeds  Volume flow by returning a subset to the Keep the oil pan low at the lubrication points. in the The main circuit is usually an oil filter, which be designed as paper, fleece or screen filters can and therefore only a more or less rough Purification of the oil enables what, in particular Diesel engines with a relatively high level of fine dirt leads in the oil circuit.

The present invention therefore has the object reasons, an oil circuit of the type mentioned to create a better cleaning, a lower low dirt content in the oil circuit and a ver tied increased engine life and a ge allows less maintenance.

According to the invention, this task is characterized by the drawing part of claim 1 mentioned features solved.

By providing a cyclone and a centrifuge in the regulating circuit removes this apply oil finely cleaned, whereby only the partial he considerable control quantity is cleaned. Thus in critical operating areas, such as B. in hot water run, the entire volume flow conveyed by the pump fed to the lubrication points. Through the high diffe pressure that is applied to the cyclone and the relatively high hen flow volume flow can be a very large amount of oil are pre-cleaned, the contaminated oil is centered. That concentrated by the cyclone Dirty oil is then added to the centrifuge for separation guided. This causes the dirt content in the oil circuit kept low and therefore a substantial extension  Oil change intervals reached.

Advantageous refinements and developments of Invention result from the dependent claims and from which in principle be based on the drawing below written embodiment.

The only drawing shows the structure of an oil circuit run with a control loop.

Nach Pas sieren der Schmierstellen 7 gelangt das Öl wieder zu rück in die Ölwanne 1.According to this embodiment, oil is pumped from an oil pan 1 by means of an oil pump 2 through a regulating valve 3 , which is designed, for example, as a 4/2 way valve. The shutoff valve 3 is in its basic position shown in the figure, the oil continues to flow through a coarse oil filter 4 and an oil cooler 5 , to which a pressure relief valve 6 is connected in parallel, to consumers (not shown) or lubrication points 7 . The pressure relief valve 6 serves the oil flow at high pressure, such as. B. on cold start, not to supply the oil cooler 5 , as this could otherwise be damaged. Instead, the oil is then passed through the pressure relief valve 6 . After passing the lubrication points 7 , the oil returns to the oil pan 1 .

Herrscht z. Z. B. before the first lubrication point 7 a certain oil pressure, the control valve 3 is switched to its second position by means of a control line 8 . This control of the regulating valve 3 ensures that there is always sufficient oil pressure at the consumer 7 and thus the main oil circuit is not impaired.

The oil pumped by the oil pump 2 now passes partially into a regulating circuit 9 , which contains a cyclone 10 and a centrifuge 11 . The centrifuge 11 is advantageously designed for service life.

The oil flow in the regulating circuit is first pre-cleaned in cyclone 10 . The pre-cleaned oil is fed from the Zy clone 10 directly to the oil pan 1 , making it available to the oil circuit again as quickly as possible. The separated by the cyclone 10 by dirt concentration particles are passed together with the contaminated oil ver in the centrifuge 11 , in which cher dirt particles, in particular smaller and lighter particles are separated and stored. The oil cleaned by the centrifuge 11 is also returned to the oil pan 1 .

The volume flow ratios between the cyclone 10 and the centrifuge 11 must be coordinated with one another in such a way that both the cyclone 10 and the centrifuge 11 achieve the best possible separation parameter in all operating areas if the shutdown circuit responds.
