Dreht man nun das verformte Dichtelement um seinen in der Zeichenebene liegenden Durchmesser um 180°, so erhält man den Dichtring in der in Fig. 3 gezeichneten Lage. Nachdem eine etwaige Kaltverfestigung durch Glühen rückgängig gemacht wurde, wird das Dichtelement beim Aufbringen der Flanschkräfte so in die Nut ge preßt, daß erneut an den Flächen a, b und c gedichtet wird. Da sich das Dichtelement bei diesem Dichtvorgang der Nut anpaßt, erhält man wieder die in F i g. 1 dargestellte Anordnung.
