Ein weiterer Vorteil der mit der Erfindung vorgeschlagenen Verbindung liegt darin, daß die Preßhülse auch Sichtfenster zur Kontrolle des Sitzes des zu verbindenden Kunststoffrohres auf dem Fittingkörper beinhaltet. Die in der Fig. 1 dargestellte Verbindung besteht im wesentlichen aus dem Fittingkörper 1, dem auf dessen rohrförmigen Abschnitt bis zum Anschlag 4 aufgeschobenen Kunststoffrohr 7 und der über dessen Ende angeordneten Preßhülse 2. Die Preßhülse 2 weist einen nach außen gewölbten Positionierring 3 für den Eingriff eines Preßwerkzeuges auf, das im Bereich dieses Positionierringes 3 eine entsprechende Negativform aufweist. Die Preßhülse 2 ist außerdem mit einem oder mehreren als Sichtfenster 6 dienenden Durchbrüchen in der Nähe des Endes des mit dem Fittingkörper 1 zu verbindenden Rohres 7 versehen.
