Abstract

The housing is constructed as a free-standing unit having two main parts [1,2] that are hinged together. Each part has an L shape that forms two side walls. One of the housing parts has top and bottom panels [7] such that housing completely closes the internal equipment . The equipment contains all units of a modern computing facility, namely, the computer, keyboard, monitor and printer. These are mounted on sliding panels [4,5,6] on rails that can be installed at selected positions on mounting rails [3].

Die diagonale Teilung ermöglicht ein kollisionsfreies öffnen und schließen des Schrankes, auch bei Überlappung der Fachböden und vollständiger Ausnutzung des Innenraumquerschnitts (Fig. 7). Der Schrank kann nun mit EDV-Komponenten so beladen werden, daß das gesamte Schrankvolumen im geschlossenen Zustand optimal genutzt wird. Besonders der bisher problematische Kabelsalat kann sehr gut installiert und verstaut werden. Öffnet man zum Arbeiten den Schrank (Fig. 1), vergrößert sich der verfügbare Raum in der Weise, daß sich genügend Platz zum bequemen Arbeiten im Sitzen und die nötige Zugänglichkeit zu allen Geräten ergibt. Außer dem Auszug der Tastatur (5), und notfalls eines Ausziehbodens (6) als Ablagefläche, sind keine weiteren Vorbereitungen notwendig. Claims

1. Lockable work cabinet for computer systems, characterized in that
