Die Erfindung geht aus von einer Angelrolle mit einer die Angelschnur aufnehmenden und zur Angelrolle drehbaren Spule, sowie mit einem zur Angelrolle und zur Spule drehbaren Rotor, wobei am Rotor ein Schnurfangbügel angelenkt ist, der entweder in eine Wickelstellung oder in eine Wurfstellung zum Rotor verschwenkbar ist und wobei ferner Mittel vorge sehen sind um den Schnurfangbügel in der Wurfstellung zu halten (Oberbegriff des Anspruches 1). Die Wurfstellung, die auch Schnurfreigabestellung genannt wird, ist vom Schnur fangbügel dann einzunehmen, wenn der Angler auswirft. In dieser Wurfstellung muß der Schnurfangbügel zurückgeklappt sein, damit er der sich hierbei von der Angelspule abwi ckelnden Angelschnur nicht im Wege ist. Mit dem Einholen des Blinkers durch entsprechendes Drehen der Antriebskurbel der Angelrolle wird mit der Drehbewegung des Rotors selbsttätig durch Anschläge oder dergleichen dafür gesorgt, daß der Schnurfangbügel in die Wickelstellung gelangt, die auch Schnurfangstellung genannt wird. An diesem Abschnitt ist ferner bei 13 eine Verriegelungsstange 14 angelenkt, welche in dieser Sperrposition der Sperre 8 mit ihrem Ende 15 in eine Ausneh mung 16 der Angelrolle 1 eingreift. Die Verriegelungsstange 14 läuft also, ebenso wie die Sperre 8, mit dem Rotor 5 um. In der o.g. Sperrlage kann der Rotor 5 nicht mehr durch Betätigen der Handkurbel 2 zur Drehung um die Angelrolle 1 gebracht werden. Bevorzugt ist hierzu die Angelrolle gemäß Fig. 2, 4 mit einer größeren Anzahl von Ausnehmungen 16 versehen, die kreisförmig um die Längsachse A-A angeordnet sind.
