Die in der Fig. 1 dargestellte Verpackungsmaschine hat eine Formstation 10, die in eine endlose Kunststoffbahn 11 aus thermoplastischem Material Näpfe 12 einformt. Die Kunststoffbahn 11 ist auf einer Vorratsrolle 1 bevorratet und wird mittels Abzugsrollen 2, 3 der Formstation 10 zugeführt. Mittels einer Dosiereinrichtung 15 werden Gegenstände, insbesondere Tabletten 16, Kapseln, Dragees o. ä., in die Näpfe 12 der Bahn 11 abgegeben. Der Dosiereinrichtung 15 nachgeordnet ist eine erste optisch arbeitende Meßeinrichtung 18 zur Erfassung der Napfabstände a von in Förderrichtung hintereinander geförderten Näpfen 12. Die Meßeinrichtung 18 ist mit der Steuereinrichtung 19 der Verpackungsmaschine gekoppelt. An die Meßeinrichtung 18 schließt sich in Förderrichtung der Bahn 11 eine kombinierte Walz- und Siegeleinrichtung 20 an. Die Walz- und Siegeleinrichtung 20 hat eine Siegelwalze 21, in der der Form der Näpfe 12 angepaßte Ausnehmungen 22 ausgebildet sind. Dabei ist die Größe der Ausnehmungen 22 etwas größer als die Größe der Näpfe 12. Die Siegelwalze 21 wirkt mit einer Heizwalze 23 zusammen, deren Temperatur auf ein bestimmtes, konstantes Niveau eingeregelt ist. Die Heizwalze 23 ist über einen Hebel 24 zum Beispiel mit der Kolbenstange 26 eines Stellzylinders 27 verbunden. Die Kolbenstange 26 wirkt mit einer Kraft F auf den Hebel 24, der somit die Heizwalze 23 gegen die Siegelwalze 21 drückt. Die von dem Stellzylinder 27 erzeugte Kraft F ist abhängig von den Napfabständen a, wobei die Steuereinrichtung 20 den Stellzylinder 27 entsprechend ansteuert.The packaging machine shown in FIG. 1 has a molding station 10 which molds cups 12 into an endless plastic web 11 made of thermoplastic material. A combined rolling and sealing device 20 connects to the measuring device 18 in the conveying direction of the web 11 . The rolling and sealing device 20 has a sealing roller 21 , in which recesses 22 adapted to the shape of the cups 12 are formed. The size of the recesses 22 is somewhat larger than the size of the cups 12 . The sealing roller 21 interacts with a heating roller 23 , the temperature of which is adjusted to a certain, constant level. The heating roller 23 is connected via a lever 24 to the piston rod 26 of an actuating cylinder 27 , for example. The piston rod 26 acts with a force F on the lever 24 , which thus presses the heating roller 23 against the sealing roller 21 . The force F generated by the actuating cylinder 27 is dependent on the cup spacing a, the control device 20 actuating the actuating cylinder 27 accordingly.
Zwischen der Siegelwalze 21 und der Heizwalze 23 ist über der Bahn 11 noch eine Deckfolienbahn 30 angeordnet. Zur Erkennung der Deckbilder ist vor der Heizwalze 23 ein Druckmarkensensor 37 angeordnet. An die Siegel- 21 und Heizwalze 23 schließen sich eine Transportwalze 34 und eine kombinierte Präge-, Perforier- und Ausstanzeinrichtung 35 an, wobei vor der Transportwalze 34 eine zweite Meßeinrichtung 38 zur Erkennung der Lage der Druckmarke angeordnet sein kann. Die Ausstanzeinrichtung 35 trennt von der Bahn 11 Verpackungsstreifen 36 ab, die jeweils die Breite von zwei Napfreihen aufweisen. Das bedeutet, daß sich die Napfabstände a während des Förderweges der Bahn 11 in bekannter Weise durch Schrumpfung infolge Abkühlung nach der Formstation 10 längs und quer zur Erstreckungsrichtung der Bahn 11 verkürzen. Kommt es hingegen zu einem Produktionstop der Verpackungsmaschine, so kühlt die Bahn 11 innerhalb der Verpackungsmaschine gegenüber dem Normalbetrieb stärker, eventuell sogar vollständig ab. Das bedeutet, daß die Napfabstände a an der Siegelwalze 21 und der Präge-, Perforier- und Stanzeinrichtung 35 gegenüber dem Normalbetrieb geringer sind. Infolgedessen kann es beim Aufsiegeln der Deckfolienbahn 30 zu einem Versatz dieser mit der Bahn 11 kommen, so daß die Druckbilder der Deckfolienbahn 30 nicht mehr positionsgerecht auf der Bahn 11 erscheinen. Weiterhin kann es durch die geringeren Napfabstände a in der Präge-, Perforier- und Ausstanzeinrichtung 35 zu fehlerhaft geprägten oder beschädigten Packungsstreifen 36 kommen. Sobald nun beim Wiederanlaufen der Verpackungsmaschine durch die Meßeinrichtungen 18, 38 die geringeren Napfabstände a erfaßt werden, erzeugt der Stellzylinder 27 aufgrund des Meßsignals der Meßeinrichtungen 18, 38 und einer entsprechenden Ansteuerung der Steuereinrichtung 19 eine erhöhte Kraft F. Der Zusammenhang zwischen der Kraft F, den Dicken D und d der Bahn 11 sowie den Napfabständen a wurde in Meßreihen ermittelt, so daß in der Steuereinrichtung 19 in Abhängigkeit von den Napfabständen a eine zugeordnete Kraft F ermittelt wird, die zu den gewünschten Sollnapfabständen a führt. Diese Abstände a können über die Meßeinrichtung 38 erfaßt werden. Die Kraft F wirkt über den Hebel 24 auf die Heizwalze 23, so daß die zwischen Heiz- 23 und Siegelwalze 21 befindliche Bahn 11 plastisch verformt wird. Demgegenüber wird die Deckfolienbahn 30 nicht oder nur in sehr geringem Umfang verformt. Die Verformung der Bahn 11 bewirkt, daß sich die ursprüngliche Dicke D der Bahn 11 auf die Dicke d reduziert und gleichzeitig die Bahn 11 gelängt wird (Anmerkung: Dicken d und D der besseren Erkennbarkeit in den Figuren nicht maßstäblich dargestellt). Mit der Dickenreduzierung geht somit gleichzeitig eine Vergrößerung der Napfabstände a auf das gewünschte Sollmaß einher. Dieses Sollmaß entspricht den Napfabständen a beim normalem, nicht unterbrochenem Betrieb der Verpackungsmaschine. Infolgedessen kann die gesamte abgekühlte Bahn 11, die sich zwischen der Formstation 10 und der Siegel- 21 und Heizwalze 23 befindet, weiterverarbeitet werden. Bei den üblichen Größenverhältnissen derartiger Verpackungsmaschinen kann diese Folienbahnlänge einige Meter betragen.If, on the other hand, there is a production stop of the packaging machine, the web 11 cools more, possibly even completely, within the packaging machine compared to normal operation. The deformation of the web 11 has the effect that the original thickness D of the web 11 is reduced to the thickness d and at the same time the web 11 is elongated (note: thicknesses d and D are not shown to scale in the figures for better visibility). The reduction in thickness is accompanied by an increase in the bowl spacing a to the desired target size. This nominal dimension corresponds to the cup spacing a during normal, uninterrupted operation of the packaging machine. As a result, the entire cooled web 11 , which is located between the forming station 10 and the sealing roller 21 and heating roller 23 , can be processed further. With the usual proportions of such packaging machines, this length of film web can be a few meters.
Besonders vorteilhaft ist es, wenn die Heizwalze 23 schon während des Normalbetriebs der Verpackungsmaschine mit einer derartig hohen Kraft F beaufschlagt wird, daß die Bahn 11 geringfügig plastisch verformt wird. Das bedeutet, daß die Napfabstände a nach der Heizwalze 23 um ein bestimmtes Maß vergrößert sind. In diesem Fall sind selbstverständlich nachgeordnete Einrichtungen, wie die Präge-, Perforier- und Ausstanzeinrichtung 35 den geänderten geometrischen Verhältnissen der Bahn 11 anzupassen. Das eben beschriebene Verfahren hat den Vorteil, daß die Napfabstände a nicht nur vergrößert, sondern bei reduzierter Kraft F, auch verkleinert werden können. Somit können also auch Maschinentoleranzen oder Toleranzen bei geändertem Material der Bahn 11 ausgeglichen werden. Weiterhin ist es denkbar, mittels einer der Präge-, Perforier- und Ausstanzeinrichtung 35 nachgeordneten Kontrolleinrichtung zur Erfassung der geometrischen Daten ausgestanzter Packungsstreifen 36 die Kraft F zusätzlich zu regeln.It is particularly advantageous if the heating roller 23 is already subjected to such a high force F during normal operation of the packaging machine that the web 11 is slightly plastically deformed. Bei dem Ausführungsbeispiel nach der Fig. 2 ist zwischen der Meßeinrichtung 18a und der Siegel- 21a und Heizwalze 23a eine Walzeinrichtung 40 angeordnet. Die Walzeinrichtung 40 hat eine Transportwalze 41 und ein Andrückwalze 42. Die Andrückwalze 42 ist wie die Heizwalze 23 beim Ausführungsbeispiel nach Fig. 1 über einen Hebel 24a mit einer Kraft F kraftbeaufschlagt. Die Funktions- und Arbeitsweise der Transportwalze 41 und der Andrückwalze 42 entspricht der der Siegel- 21 und Heizwalze 23 beim ersten Ausführungsbeispiel. Im Gegensatz zum ersten Ausführungsbeispiel dienen die Siegel- 21a und die Heizwalze 23a bei der Fig. 2 lediglich zum Aufsiegeln der Deckfolienbahn 30a auf die Bahn 11a, so daß in diesem Bereich keine oder lediglich eine geringe Verformung der Bahn 11a stattfindet. Ferner ist im Bereich der noch ungesiegelten Deckfolienbahn 30a ein Druckmarkenerkennungssensor 37 angeordnet. Der Druckmarkenerkennungssensor ist über die Steuereinrichtung der Verpackungsmaschine mit der Walzeinrichtung 40 gekoppelt. Bei diesem Ausführungsbeispiel ist es ebenfalls möglich, über eine gezielte Beeinflussung der Napfabstände a die Position der Druckbilder der Deckfolienbahn 30a zu regeln. Weiterhin besteht wie beim ersten Ausführungsbeispiel weiterhin die Möglichkeit, die Napfabstände a über die Meßeinrichtung 18a wie oben beschrieben, zum Beispiel nach Produktionspausen, zu beeinflussen.In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, a rolling device 40 is arranged between the measuring device 18 a and the sealing roller 21 a and heating roller 23 a.
