Plättchen zum Befestigen von Fallgriffen an Kannen od. dgl.Plate for attaching drop handles to cans or the like.

Die Neuerung bezieht sich auf Plättchen, mit denen Fallgriffe an Blechkannen od. dgl. festgelegt werden. Jeder Fallgriff besteht aus einem etwa U-förmig gebogenen Draht, dessen beide Schenkel an zwei weiteren Stellen um etwa 90 nach innen umgebogen sind. Ein der Festlegung eines solchen Fallgriffes dienendes Plättchen weist eine mittige, durch Stanzen erzeugte Aussparung auf und ist entlang einer Querlinie umgebogen, so daß seine beiden Mittelteile die beiden Schenkel des Fallgriffes umfassen. Je eine Kröpfung jedes Schenkels faßt dann in die Aussparung ein. Ist das Plättchen an einer Kanne od. dgl. festgelegt, beispielsweise durch Schweißen oder durch Niete, dann läßt sich der Fallgriff um 1800 verschwenken. Da nun die die Fallgriffe lagernden Plättchen an den Blechkannen od. dgl. festgelegt werden, bevor der Deckel aufgefalzt wird, ergibt sich der Nachteil, daß sich beim Drehen der Kannen od. dgl. während des Falzens des Deckels die Fallgriffe infolge der auftretenden Zentrifugalkräfte in die Waagerechte einstellen, was unerwünscht ist.The innovation relates to plates with which drop handles on metal cans or the like are set.
