Die Erfindung betrifft eine Verbesserung der durch Patent 164005 geschützten Presse nach der Richtung hin, daß die Formstücke verschiebbar sind und sich seitlich bewegen. Die Verbesserung bezweckt, die Umbiegevorrichtung auch an solchen Pressen anbringen zu können, bei denen in bezug auf Höhe nur ein beschränkter Raum zur Verfügung steht, wie dies z. B. bei Tiegeldruckpressen der Fall ist. Außerdem läßt sich die Erhitzung seitlich bewegter Formstücke in größerer Entfernung von der Druck- und Prägeplatte vornehmen, so daß diese kühl bleibt und die darüber rollenden Farbwalzen nicht so stark angreift. Die geradlinige, seitliche Verschiebung der Formstücke d gegeneinander kann beispielsweise dadurch erfolgen, daß ein verstellbarer Stößer s beim Niedergang des Preßstempels α gegen einen in einer Führung am Fundament b gleitenden Gelenkkopf g stößt und diesen verschiebt. Da genannter Gelenkkopf g mittels Stangen ν mit den Formstücken d verbunden ist, erfolgt bei dessen Niedergang eine geradlinige Verschiebung der Formstücke.
