Als Werkplatzleuchte werden verschiedenartige Leuchten
verwendet, die meist einen Blechschirm haben und eine
gläserne Schutzglocke für die Glühlampe. Sofern Werkplatzleuchten nicht fest installiert
werden, verwendet man für diesen Zweck auch Handleuchten. Es gibt Handleuchten mit
Leuchtstoffröhren, die aber kleine Leuchtstoffröhren enthalten und damit in der

in das Schutzrohr, welches durch Kappen aus elastischem Isolierstoff verschlossen
ist, die durch Schellen mit Aufhängemöglichkeit festgeklemmt werden. Die Werkplatzleuchte
hat eine in Längsrichtung oder quer dazu führende Leitungseinführung. Die Kappen
aus elastischem Isolierstoff können mit Schutzrippen versehen sein.

Die vorbeschriebene Werkplatzleuchte hat ein Schutzrohr
aus Polyakrylglas, welches verhältnismäßig dicht um die eigentliche Leuchtstoffröhre
geführt wird. Damit ist das bruchempfindliche Silikatglas gegen umherfliegende Splitter
geschützt. Die Leuchte benötigt infolge ihres Aufbaues keine mechanische Stützung
für die Fassungen, da alles in das Schutzrohr eingebaut ist, und außerdem wird ein
staubdichter Verschluß durch die beiden Kappen aus elastischem Isolierstoff erreicht.
In dieser Form kann die Leuchte Staub und nicht explosiven Dämpfen ausgesetzt werden,
ohne Schaden zu nehmen. Die Reinigung ist sehr einfach. Die Aufhängung kann an den
Schellen durch eine Kette oder ein Drahtseil vorgenommen werden, oder es kann über
ein Flacheisen die feste Montage an einer Werkzeugmaschine stattfinden. Die Kappen
aus elastischem Isolierstoff sind mit Schutzrippen versehen, sodaß auch bei provisorischer
Aufhängung die Bruchgefahr durch die stoßmindernden Schutzrippen weitgehend beseitigt
wird. Entgegen den üblichen Ausführungen bei Leuchtstoffröhren mit handelsüblichen
Leistungen von 20 Watt an aufwärts, sind bei dieser Leuchte alle Anschlußelemente
im Schutzrohr untergebraht. Mit Einführung und Anschluß der Zuleitung kann die Leuchte
abgedichtet werden. Hierfür können an sich bekannte Bauelemente, wie abschneidbare
Gummitüllen, die an den jeweils verwendeten Leitungsdurchmesser angepaßt werden
können, Verwendung finden. Die Kappen werden mit Schellen festgeschraubt, sodaß
ein sicherer Abschluß und eine zuverlässige Befestigung der Aufhängemöglichkeit
gewährleistet wird. Es ist durchaus möglich, die Leitungseinführung in Formgebung
und Wandstärke so zu halten, daß die Leitungseinführung je nach Bedarf gebogen und
im gebogenen Zustand festgehalten werden kann.

Die Abbildung zeigt einen Schnitt durch die Werkplatz-
leuchte, in welcher das Leuchtstoffrohr 1 an die Fassungen 2 angeschlossen ist und
