Description
The invention relates to a container ship of the open type for the transport of goods in containers with in Vertical rails arranged in its holds for guiding and stacking the containers.
In contrast to conventional bulk carriers are in the well-known container ships ("Shipping World and Shipbuilder" 1968. pp. 801 to 804) Load compartments arranged vertical guides that form compartments for stacking the containers on top of each other. In general, such guides are arranged at the four corners of the base of a container, wherein several stacks of containers both in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction next to each other in one Load space are to be accommodated. The obvious mark of well-known container ships of the open Type consists mainly in the fact that the width of the hatches corresponds approximately to the width of the holds. This Arrangement would favor the use of container ships of the open type for the transport of bulk goods, because conveyors and hoists reaching into the hold from above can be found anywhere in the hold reachable. However, the transport of bulk goods requires due to the dangers of trimming and lowering the cargo while the voyage takes special precautions to be taken by a container ship does not have an open type per se. The supervisory authorities have made certain measures to counter these dangers Enact regulations, the most important of which is the arrangement of grain bulkheads to reduce the free Include the surface of the bulk material and the arrangement of filling shafts to compensate for the sagging. Known grain bulkheads can be used in the conventional design of bulk and bulk freight carriers and filling chutes (Henschke, W. "Shipbuilding Manual", Volume 3, VEB Verlag Technik Berlin, 1962, pp. 680 to 705) relatively easy to accommodate in the hatch coamings. With container shipper «this is with smooth deck hatches still possible with coaming hatches.
das heißt, die für die Getreidefahrt bestehenden .Vorschriften konnten'bisher nicht, beziehungsweise nicht ausreichend erjüllt'werden.that is, the existing "regulations" for the grain transport could not previously, or rather not be sufficiently fulfilled.
It is the object of the invention. Container ships of the 5 open type can be used for the transport of bulk goods do.
To solve this problem it is proposed according to the invention that in a container ship of the open type for the use of the container ship ίο for the conveyance of bulk goods, filling shafts in adaptation to the height of the stowed bulk cargo in the rails, can be used to guide the containers and can be fastened and that the filling chutes in the manner of the container with closed side walls, however are designed without a lid and body.
Filling chutes according to the invention are therefore in the same way as without further precautions usual container at a suitable height in the vertical Guides can be used, so that they are both particularly useful when using the container ship in the grain voyage the effect of the grain bulkheads as well as the effect of the fi'll shafts, as indicated by the supervisory authorities is required. If, in relation to the size of the cargo space, the volume of one designed as a filling shaft If Beb liters is not enough, several containers without a bottom or lid can be stacked on top of each other be arranged to act as a hopper. An additional improvement can be made by a truss in the container serving as a hopper can be achieved, which divides the container floor plan into small fields, this improves the strength and, above all, increases the desired effect.
An embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows a cross section of a ship designed according to the invention.
auf, die derjenigen bekannter Behälter entspricht.F i g. 2 and 3 show in a comparison the effect of the training according to the invention.
The exemplary embodiment shows a double-hulled ship of the open type, consisting of the outer hull 1 and the inner hull 2, which forms the double bottom 3 at the bottom. The loading space, which is rectangular in cross section, is open to its full width at the top and can be closed by a hatch which, according to the example in the left half of FIG. 1 as Süiluke 4 or according to the example in the right half of FIG. 1 can be designed as a smooth deck hatch. Compartments 7, which are formed by vertical rails 8, are arranged in the loading space 6. Containers are usually threaded into the compartments from above and then stacked one on top of the other. When the ship is used for the transport of bulk goods, in particular for the transport of grain, according to the invention, filling shafts 9 are to be inserted into the compartments 7 and attached to the height of the stowed cargo. The same known and standardized means can be used for fastening as are used when transporting containers. The filling chutes also have a design that corresponds to that of known containers.
Only the base and lid are left out. This training enables the filling chutes to be adapted to any amount of charge without the need for additional conversion equipment Changeover times have to be expended.
In ihr istThe effect of the design according to the invention results from the comparison in FIGS. 2 and 3. The Fig.2 shows a schematic cross section by a conventional container ship. In it is
From this fig. it can be seen that container ships b so far known arrangement for the transport of bulk material because of the large Krängungsmornentci passing over Charge are not suitable. The F i g. 3 shows the effect of the filling chutes according to the invention. The charge can only move within the relatively small filling shafts in the green crack, whereby a shift beyond the center of the ship is practically not possible, considering the movement of the cargo in the hopper, which is located exactly in the middle of the ship. Figs. 2 and 3 show <Jie conditions described above with two different loading conditions, one of which is the Ship fully loaded and the other shows the ship about half loaded.
