Description

Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Teerseife.Process for making a tar soap.

Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 8. September 1905 ab.Patented in the German Empire on September 8, 1905.

It is known that wood tar is used to produce the known tar soaps. Of the However, wood tar has the disadvantage that it contains excess acetic acid, i.e. acidic reacted. Because of these properties, it is not suitable to the required extent for mixing with soaps respectively. for the production of tar soaps, since it is subject to decomposition the soap works. ' The soap contains fatty acid salts. If you mix the soap with wood tar, the acetic acid becomes of the tar enter into a chemical reaction with the alkali of the fatty acid salt. It Acetic acid alkali is formed with elimination of corresponding amounts of fatty acids.

According to the present invention, these disadvantages are avoided in that for production the tar soap is used instead of the wood tar, which is obtained by dry distillation of peat will. This tar contains not only acetic acid but also ammonia, which react with each other and form ammonium acetic acid. This salt behaves neutrally if it gets into the soap. However, it usually divides already during the extraction of the peat tar, so that it does not or only to a small extent is absorbed into the soap. This way the acetic acid is prevented or the ammonia of the tar can have a deleterious effect on the soap. The disadvantage the decomposition of the soap due to the excess amounts contained in the wood tar This eliminates reaction substances.

According to the present invention, the peat tar is expediently used in a quantity ratio of about 40 percent to the soap used. However, the tar content can also be higher or lower.
