Description
The invention relates to a method for producing hardened synthetic resin foams made of phenol-formaldehyde resin resoles, which are mixed with a blowing agent that develops gas in an acidic medium and converted into hardened synthetic resin foam by adding a hardening acid.
Synthetic resin foams are known which, although they have low strength properties, on the other hand have extremely low thermal conductivity and are therefore excellently suited for thermal insulation. Others have favorable electrical properties, still others sufficient mechanical strength with favorable thermal insulation, etc. All of them, however, have one thing in common : 'ir ~ Warm ^ besfandiHceit with higher The excellent heat resistance of phenol-formaldehyde synthetic resins, which with the application of a practical M * As, tabes can be described as incombustible, this makes it appear particularly suitable to serve as starting materials for the production of heat-resistant foamed plastics. So far, however, it has not yet been possible to make such foamed plastics made of phenol-formaldehyde synthetic resins available to technology in a practicable manner is not controllable with the hardening
Based on this prior art, the invention is based on the object of providing a method for Production of hardened synthetic resin foams from phenol-formaldehyde resin resoles for the technology To make available. This task is according to the aforementioned general method according to Invention solved in that phenol-formaldehyde resin resole, which according to the method according to DT-AS 16 45 014.-44 is produced, used in a mixture with the blowing agent di-.iitroso-pentamethylenetetramine It has been shown that the prepared according to the method described above Synthetic resin resoles during their curing Synthetic resin foams with excellent properties in terms of mechanical strength and heat resistance, with excellent constancy of their properties.
... ,As a blowing agent other than di-nitroso-pentamethylene-tetramine also mixtures of the same with inorganic substances with the hardening acid Gas release, e.g. sodium bicarbonate, can be used. ...,
The blowing agent can also be mixed with powdery mineral fillers, preferably those that are in the form of the finest lamellas, are used will. It has been shown that such additives to the blowing agent reduce the evenness of the foaming promote and positively influence the strength and hardness of the foam produced.
The blowing agent can be used in an amount of up to 20% by weight, based on the amount of the synthetic resin resol - be applied. A blowing agent mixture, consisting of 1 to 3 wt.% Dinitrose-pentamethylenetetramine and 1 to 10 wt.% sodium bicarbonate has worked very well.
Der Weichmacher kann gleichzeitig mit Hein Rlähmiuel zugesetzt werdenIn connection with the well-known considerable mechanical strength of phenol-formaldehyde synthetic resins it is inevitable that the synthetic resin foams obtained therefrom to one certain embrittlement, especially as a result of aging. This can be done by adding a Plasticizer are countered. Maleic acid-glycerine-anhydride and butyl phthalate have proven to be such proven quite well. The plasticizer can be added at the same time as Hein Rlähmiuel
