State of the invention * is a method of manufacture of porous, granular aggregates. Porous and granular materials have better "wetting properties" than powdery substances and are therefore faster and cleaner to 7U "! ο =; en. They trickle down and are dust-free to handle. The food consumer in particular appreciates the aforementioned advantages.

Goods in powder form generally serve as an augmentation basis. For foods that are normally already in powder form, it can also be those milveri ^ en particles that are obtained from aqueous extracts of, for example, coffee, tea, juices, filch by folding, stork and freeze drying o Zv / ar have freeze-dried products Suitable Yo "treatment, the desired porous and granular shape. A small part of these products is, however, finely powdered even with this type of drying.

In addition, the previous and granular aggregate form in many other products such as f attn with drugs and chemicals is all A ^ t p "v r ünRoht.

Attempts to make powdery substances porous and granular have not led to the desired success. It p-elang not the substance ".hen ^ and to win more than a loose verästelnd ver - / .; l = bt" the required stability to n powder.

The present invention describes a new type of method by which powdery Ausgp.ngsmaterial in porous, granular Aggregates can be formed.

First of all, the powdery material is strongly moistened. Water, steam, aqueous solutions, moist air, mixtures of the specified components or admixtures of powdery, moist materials are used, the moistening must be so strong on each pall that the good sticks together into compact tubers} so it must be $ 10 or more of the moistened material. The material is then evacuated and heated as quickly as possible. As a result of previous strong humidification and the subsequent evacuation leads to gas expansion and water vapor formation the sticky mass, which causes the material to puff up and become porous. With the supply of heat one achieves that it is in the expanded and porous state dries and solidifies in this form. Then you can do this in individual tubers or Crush material present in a coherent mass into porous grains of any size. The process product has excellent dissolving properties with a homogeneous appearance.

Example 1: Spray-dried coffee extract powder is mixed with water in a ratio of 4: 1 to 6: 1 in a continuous mixer and the crumbly, partly already sticky mass is placed in a drying cabinet, which is heated to approx. 80 ° C. for as short a time as possible evacuated to an absolute pressure of less than 200 torr. The product puffs up during this treatment and solidifies into a coherent porous mass on drying. After drying for about one hour, the drying cabinet is flooded with inert gas and the "cake" is removed. The product is then broken up and the desired grain fraction is sieved out.

In a mixer working more charsremyeise becomes a K-kao-Zucker- ^ emsoh as above mixed with water and further treated in vacuum drying cabinet. To breaking and classifying is easy for mar here too wettable homogeneous aggregates.
