Mit der Wärmezufuhr erreicht man, daß es in dem geblähten und porigen Zustand trocknet und in dieser Form erstarrt. Anschließend kann man das in einzelnen Knollen oder in einer zusammenhängenden Masse vorliegende Material zu beliebig großen, porösen Körnern zerkleinern.
