Die Erfindung, betrifft einen Schornsteinaufsatz mit einer Kappe, die im oberen Teil schräg nach der Mitte zuläuft und eine Öffnung freiläßt, in die ein kegelförmiger Einsatz hineinragt. Das Neue an der Erfindung besteht im wesentlichen darin, daß der kegelförmige Einsatz mit Windfangflügeln versehen ist, um die Bildung von Wirbeln um den Kegel herum und damit das Eindringen ίο von Wind in die Kappe zu verhindern.The invention relates to a chimney top with a cap in the upper part runs obliquely towards the middle and leaves an opening free into which a conical insert protrudes. Der vorstehend beschriebene Schornsteinaufsatz unterscheidet sich demnach von ähnlichen bereits bekannten Vorrichtungen, bei denen ebenfalls kegelförmige Einsätze zur Anwendung kommen, die aber im wesentliehen nur zur Führung des in die Haube eingedrungenen Windes dienen, dadurch, daß hier der Einsatz vermöge der an ihm angebrachten Windfangflügel imstande ist, überhaupt ein Eindringen des Windes in die Kappe zu verhüten, so daß andererseits auch die bei den bekannten Einrichtungen stets erforderlichen Austrittsöffnungen für den eingedrungenen Wind hier ganz fehlen können, was für die Einfachheit der Vorrichtung von wesentlichem Vorteil · ist. Andererseits versehen auch die W^rindfangflügel auf dem Kegelmantel, im Gegensatz zu den bekannten Windfangflügeln auf die Schornsteinmündung umschließenden kegelförmigen Flächen, die lediglich die Bestimmung haben, den Wind am Umfang der Kappe in größerem Maße aufzunehmen und saugend nach der Schornsteinmündting zu führen, den Zweck, den Wind vor einer wirbelnden Bewegung um den Kegel zu bewahren und ihn von einem Eindringen in die Schornsteinmündung auf der- dem Wind entgegengesetzten Seite abzuhalten.
