Die Erfindung betrifft einen durch die Feuerungsgase geheizten Speisewasservorwärmer für Lokomotiv-, Lokomobil- u. dgl. Kessel und besteht darin, daß in der Rauchkammer des Kessels eine ringförmige Kammer für das Speisewasser angeordnet ist, welche in der Längsrichtung von Heizröhren durchzogen ist.The invention relates to a feed water preheater heated by the combustion gases for locomotive, locomobile and the like. Bei dem neuen Speisewasservorwärmer sind im Rauchkasten A des Kessels zwei zylindrische Mäntel B B1 derart eingebaut, daß eine ringförmige Kammer b gebildet ist. Diese Kammer ist von den Heizröhren b1 durchzogen, welche in den die ringförmige Kammer b an den Enden abschließenden Platten b2 befestigt sind. Der innere Mantel B1 umschließt einen mittleren Rauchkastenraum b3, welcher vorn vorteilhaft durch eine als Funkenfänger dienende gelochte Platte oder ein Drahtnetz C geschlossen ist, während der äußere Mantel B bis zur A7Orderwand α des Rauchkastens reicht und an dieser Stelle durchlocht sein kann, um einen Teil der Verbrennungsgase auf ihrem Wege zum Schornstein D über die Außenfläche des äußeren Mantels streichen zu lassen. Der Schornstein D befindet sich vorteilhaft auf dem hinteren Teil des Rauchkastens. Zur Entfernung von innerhalb oder um den Vorwärmer sich ansammelnden Aschenteilchen sind eine Tür £4 . und ein Aschenfall £5 vorgesehen. Zum Auswaschen der Kammer b dienen Hähne be. Das Speisewasser wird der Kammer b durch den Einlaß b7 zügeführt und fließt durch den Auslaß b8 und das Rohr b9 zum Kessel E.
