Description
Verfahren zum. Schneiden, Trennen oder Profilieren von Sci.2auristoffen aller Art sowie ähnlichen Werkstoffen Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zum Schneiden, Trennen oder Profilieren von Schaumstoffen aller Art sowie ähnlichen Werkstoffen, wie beispielsweise Styropor, Kork, Gummi, Das Ausschneiden von Stücken bestimmter Umrißformen aus einer Schaumstoffplatte oder -scheibe bereitet große Schwierig-1ieiten, da es nicht möglich ist, die Platte oder Scheibe fest einzuspannen oder sonstwie zu halten, ohne daß eine Verformung des Materials stattfindet. Es ist daher nicht möglich, mit herkömmlichen Schneid-, Trenn- oder Profilierverfahren Schaumstoffplatten oder -scheiben quer zu ihrer Fläche einwandfrei zu schneiden oder zu trennen. Dies gilt insbesondere dann, wenn bestimmte '. Konturen hergestellt werden müssen. Bis zu einer gewissen Dickc der Platten oder Scheiben lassen sich diese eventuell noch stanzen, was aber einen erheblichen Aufwand an Stanzwerkzeugen verursacht. Scharfe Konturen mit kleinen Rauion und Ecken lassen sich -- auch wenn es möglich wäre, die Schaumstoffplatten oder -scheiben einzuspannen oder festzuj.alten -- auch nicht mit Bandmessern oder -s.en herausschneiden, da deren Breite zu groß ist. Diese Probleme treten nicht nur bei Schaumstoffen all-er Art auf, sondern auch bei ähnlichen Werkstoffen, wie z.B. bei Styropor, Kork oder Gummi, kurz bei allen Werkstoffen, die ohne Verformung nicht einzuspannen und zu schneiden sind. Es ist Aufgabe der Erfindung, ein Verfahren zu schaffen, welches das Schneiden, Trennen oder Profilieren solcher Merkstoffe in jeder beliebigen Form ermöglicht, ohne daß das Werstück irgendwie eingespannt zu werden braucht oder verformt wird. Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren ist in erster Linie dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Schneiden, Trennen oder Profilieren durch einen mit hoher Vorschubgeschwindigkeit entlang der gewünschten' Schnittlinie geführten Laserstrahl erfolgt. Versuche haben ergeben, daß eine Vorschubgeschwindigkeit für den Laserstrahl von etwa 150 Metern pro Minute genügt. Zuz Profilieren bzw. Konturenschneiden bann der Laserstrahl durch an sich bekannte Schneid-, Trenn:- oder Kopiervorrichtungen geführt werden. Um ein Entflammen des Werkstoffes zu vermeiden, wird das Schneiden, Trennen oder Profilieren in einer Schutzgasatmoshhäre durchgeführt, wobei es genügt, wenn das Schutzgas nur im Bereich des ;Schneid- oder Trennpunktes zugeführt wird.
