Die Streuscheiben von Fahrzeugscheinwerfern, insbesondere von Kraftwagen und Motorrädern, verschmutzen im allgmeinen schneller als die Windschutzscheibe. Es wurde deshalb bereits der Vorschlag gemacht, die Scheinwerferstreuscheibe mit Hilfe eines über die Streuscheibe bewegten Wischelements in Form eines Scheibenwischers, wie er für Windschutzscheiben üblich ist, zu reinigen.
