Aufhängevorrichtungen zur Befestigung von tafelförmigen glatten Gegenständen, z.B. Spiegel an einer Wandfläche, sind bekannt. Die bekannten Vorrichtungen weisen beispielsweise einen auf der Rückseite des Spiegels angeordneten mit dieser fest verbundenen und von seiner Randkontur unabhängig ausgebildeten Blindrahmen auf. Durch geeignete, in bekannter Weise ausgebildete Ösen, die an dem Rahmen zusätzlich befestigt werden, ist eine Aufhängung des Spiegels an einem beispielsweise in der Wand eingelassenen Nagel oder Haken durchführbar. Bei der Verwendung dieser Spiegel hat sich des öfteren als notwendig erwiesen, die Aufhängerichtung des Spiegels zu ändern. Es hat sich gezeigt, dass eine Veränderung der Aufhängerichtung nur dann durchzuführen war, wenn eine entsprechende Anzahl Ösen an bestimmten Stellen des Rahmens zur Aufhängung angebracht waren und durch Einhängen einer entsprechenden Öse in den in der Wand eingelassenen Haken eine Veränderung der Aufhängerichtung des Spiegels zu erzielen war.
