Der Kammreiniger besteht, wie Fig. 1 zeigt, in bekannter Weise aus einem Blechgehäuse a, in welchem sich eine mit Borsten versehene Walze b befindet, die in den Seitenwänden des Gehäuses α gelagert ist und vermittels einer Kurbel c in Umdrehung versetzt werden kann. Durch den seitlich und oben auf dem Gehäuse α angebrachten Schlitz d wird der zu reinigende Kamm eingeführt und vor die sich drehende Walze b gebracht. Zur Reinigung der Bürstenwalze b von dem sich ansetzenden Schmutz ist zwischen der Walze und der Rückwand des Gehäuses α eine sich auf die ganze Länge der Vorrichtung erstreckende Abstreichkante e vorgesehen (Fig. 2), die zur Schonung der Walze b nicht mit Zähnen versehen wird, sondern glatt ist, so daß ein Ausreißen der Borsten bei Drehung der Walze b, wie dies bei der Anordnung von Zähnen manchmal der Fall ist, vermieden wird.
