Die Erfindung bezweckt, die Vorteile einer gewöhnlichen Bandbremse auszunutzen, dabei aber die auftretenden großen Bremskräfte S1 und S2 der beiden Bandteile, die sonst auf die Bremsscheibenwelle und den Befestigungspunkt des Bremsbandes übertragen werden, auf dem kürzesten Wege in sich selbst zu vernichten. Dies wird erreicht durch Verbindung der Bremsbandenden mit einer Daumen- oder Exzenterscheibe E (Fig. ι und 2). Durch Drehen dieser Scheibe E mittels eines Handhebels H oder dergl. in der eingezeichneten Richtung wird die Achse G in ihrer Führung F nach links verschoben und das Bremsband gespannt. Nur die abzubremsende Umfangskraft muß von der Führung F aufgenommen werden, während in der Richtung der Achse der Bremsscheibe und der Exzenterscheibe keine Kräfte nach außen übertragen werden.The aim of the invention is to utilize the advantages of an ordinary band brake, while at the same time destroying the large braking forces S 1 and S 2 of the two band parts, which are otherwise transmitted to the brake disc shaft and the fastening point of the brake band, in the shortest possible way.
