PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
In one method, steel wire bundles are used, which is expressly pointed out is hit against the wood surface in the direction of the wires, creating the risk of that besides the soft also the hard
ίο Teile durch die aufstoßenden Drahtspitzen angegriffen werden.ίο parts through the pushing wire tips to be attacked.
By sandblasting the wood surface, essentially a A similar effect is achieved, since here too the more or less normal to the surface Thrown particles of sand can also attack the hard parts of the wood and make them rough.
In order to remedy this latter drawback, it is known to use sandblasting blowers Reworking wooden surfaces using suitable wire brushes, on the one hand to remove the stuck sand bodies and on the other hand to close the surface smooth. Brushes with soft, elastic and relatively short wire hairs are used here, and the desired one The main purpose is through a whip-like effect of these wire hairs on the rough-grained surface achieved.
Durch dieses Hinüberdrängen der Drahtspitzen in die Weichholzrinnen zwischen den eigentlichen Hartholzfasern kommt somit jede arbeitende Spitze nur dort zum Angriff, wo eben ein Herausarbeiten erwünscht ist bezw. angestrebt wird, im Gegensatz zu den bisher bekannten Verfahren, bei welchen jede einzelne DrahtspitzeIn contrast, the present invention relates to a method for the grain to make raised of wooden surfaces, which is that the grain BEZW. the Working out the soft parts while protecting the hard, resistant parts as much as possible Parts of the wood surface without any previous preparatory process only by brushing using metal wire brushes suitable for this purpose corresponding consideration of the fiber direction is achieved. The for this purpose The brushes used here are made of relatively strong, up to a certain degree Resistant, but sufficiently long and consequently elastic wire hair manufactured. The execution of the procedure can be carried out both by means of fast rotating Roller brushes as well as by means of stroking brushes guided back and forth. The former Processing method is recommended if the grain is perfectly parallel and very regular, while the latter method of processing more with irregular fiber formation at knots and the like. Is used. A particular advantage of this process is first of all: that through the use of relatively long, well elastic wire hair the wire tips always slide off the hard fiber and only in the soft parts of the Attack the wood surface and only work out the wood here, while, the hard fiber is extremely spared in this way. By pushing over the wire tips into the softwood grooves between the actual hardwood fibers every working tip is only attacked where there is work to be done is desired respectively. the aim is, in contrast to the previously known processes, in which every single wire tip
Die notwendige Folge hiervon ist, daß bei gleichem Kraftaufwand mit dem vorbeschrie-. benen Verfahren die angestrebte Maserung in erheblich kürzerer Zeit erzielt wird.respectively every single grain of sand, regardless of where on the wood surface an intervention is desired, bumped or evenly against the same. is thrown, so that here the entire surface is necessary, even if it corresponds to the degree of hardness different, something is worked away. The necessary consequence of this is that at same effort with the previously described. the desired grain is achieved in a considerably shorter time.
The processed area is then expediently combined with one of individual ones next to one another arranged canvas disks or the like. Existing, cylindrical body polished and finely smoothed. To achieve a quick and good effect it is advisable to sprinkle some emery or glass dust on the canvas.
In addition to the aforementioned advantages of the present method, there is the main advantage the same in the extraordinary equity of the same, since it is possible with the same is the grain at a cost that is only a tenth of what was previously necessary Corresponds to the effort, not only equally well, but even more nicely to manufacture.
