Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
The insulators of the overhead lines of electric railways usually consist of metal bodies, around which insulation layers made of resins mixed with suitable fiber materials are to be pressed. Impregnated wood is also often used as an insulating body.
Insulating body made of porcelain, which is used for electrical overhead lines with good results: are not well suited for contact lines because they are the shocks that the latter are exposed, cannot endure. In contrast, those made from resins (Ambroin, Hard rubber and the like.) Manufactured insulators the disadvantage that they are not weather-resistant and in operation through moisture as well as a rough, poorly insulating surface due to smoke and dust deposits, which easily cause current transitions and malfunctions.
The aim of the invention is to provide an insulator which has the advantages of porcelain insulators possesses without its disadvantages adhering to it. The improvement is that instead of the insulators made of hard rubber, ambroin, wood or the like. covered with insulating enamel layers and with end pieces for connection to the Contact or guy wires provided metal bodies, z. B. metal bolts can be used. FIG. 1 shows a departmental insulator for the catenary of electric railways, FIG. 2 an insulator for guy wires of the contact line.
Der Isolatorkern α (Fig. 1) ist aus Stahl oder Eisen hergestellt und an beiden EndenThe insulator core α (Fig. 1) is made of steel or iron and at both ends
Hierdurch werden die Biegungsbeanspruchungen in dem Isolator und der Fahrleitung vermindert und Brüche der letzteren möglichst beseitigt.provided with threads or rings, the number of which is selected so that the forces to be transmitted thereby only a small specific load on the thread BEZW. Create ring surfaces. The core is covered with one or more good insulating enamel layers b , which are also on the screw or. extending annular ends of the core, c is a small groove, which is intended to be used for conveniently holding the body by means of a tool. The end pieces d Cl 1 are made of gunmetal or the like. And can be poured directly onto the enamel layer b or attached to it in any other way. A sleeve / serving to connect the contact line is screwed onto the threaded pin e of the end piece d and is provided with a cable connection g for connection to the feed line leading to the circuit breaker. The end piece Cf 1 is articulated to a holder h serving to suspend the insulator, so that the insulator can adjust itself in the pulling direction of the contact line and can oscillate with it. As a result, the bending stresses in the insulator and the contact line are reduced and breaks in the latter are eliminated as far as possible.
The right insulator half, not shown in FIG. 1 coincides with the left.
The insulator according to FIG. 2 also consists of a steel core k which is surrounded by an enamel layer i , but which is provided with undulating threads (right side) or rings (left side) over its entire length so that it is also
ringer Länge eine genügend große Oberflächenisölation besitzt. Der Isolierkörper i-k und seine Endstücke l-m können auch so wie die entsprechenden Teile des Abteilungsisolators (Fig. i) oder auch beliebig anders ausgebildet werden.lenght has a sufficiently large surface isolation. The insulating body ik and its end pieces lm can also be designed like the corresponding parts of the compartmental insulator (FIG. I) or in any other way.
