Hydrodynamische Bremse
Hydrodynamic brake The invention relates to a hydrodynamic Dremseg in which the düf, # Dremsmoment can be changed by a corresponding filling of the hydrodynamic -.-. 9-.hen circuit. Such a hydrodynamic brake is identical to a hydrodynamic coupling, in which the secondary wheel (turbine wheel) is held and firmly connected to the housing and is therefore referred to as a stator. For the use of such a hydrodynamic brake in a vehicle it must be dimensioned so that it can still apply the required braking torque even at the lowest working speed in question and at full filling of the circuit and full filling it can then have a higher braking torque in proportion raise. If, however, only a lower braking torque is to be generated at a higher speed than with a full filling, then only a partial filling of the hydrodynamic circuit is used. To achieve the lowest possible braking effect, there is the possibility of completely emptying the hydrodynamic circuit. When using a hydrodynamic brake in a vehicle, the speeds of the primary part are often so high that, despite the complete emptying of the working fluid from the hydrodynamic circuit, only the air that is now present and instead of the working fluid still has a considerable braking effect not only worsens the degree of efficiency of the system, but also an unzulf; -: Such heating of the assembly brings aboutg-unless special and now complicated measures are taken for cooling, but these worsen the degree of efficiency even further. The disadvantage of this # usfüh-4. The shape is that due to the dimensions of the) slider and their required bet: -iti #, - ungswege the building through. The disadvantage of this known brake with circuit interruption slides resulted in the requirement for an embodiment and puncture method of a hydrodynamic brake in which the aerodynamic braking effect is also as low as possible and with a simple structure and a function that is as self-sufficient as possible. * 1-term function does not have a noticeably larger structural volume than a brake, in which no provisions are made to prevent the aerodynamic cycle. The stated requirements are met by several embodiments of a hydrodynamic brake according to the invention. In an embodiment according to the invention, the secondary wheel can be connected to the stationary housing by a known oil pressure-actuated switchable Rcibunfrobremse and thus, conversely, be released rotatably with every filling state of the hydrodynamic brake, but in particular when the hydraulic circulation system is completely empty. The oil pressure bed, ti, r-th friction brake can have an axially moving piston that is arranged in the stationary housing and acted upon by an external oil pressure source.

In Fig. 1, 1 designates the Antriebewelleg which is mounted in the stationary housing 2 and on which the primary wheel of the hydrodynamic brake 3 is mounted. The hydrodynamic circuit is filled through the inlet pipe 4 in the housing 2 and the filling pipe 5 in the primary wheel 3 in the direction of the arrow 6 , while the drainage of the hydrodynamic Kreioll-.ufs takes place through the outlet 7 in the direction of the arrow 8 . The elcundary wheel 9 is rotatably mounted on the drive shaft 1 and has on its circumference the pinholing 10 for the inner flanges 11, while the housing 2 has the retaining teeth l "Vir the outer flanges 13. In the housing 2 is the cylinder space 14, in which the closing piston 15 moves. The compression springs 16, e.g. disc springs, press the closing piston 15 back when there is no oil pressure in the cylinder chamber so that the discs of the friction brake are open. When the brake is open, the secondary wheel can move 9 rotate freely on the shaft 1. To post the secondary wheel 9 , oil is now supplied from an external source of pressure in the direction of the arrow 17 through the connection 18 to the cylinder chamber 14, whereby the locking piston 15 pushes the plate pack 11, 13 under the counter-holding effect of the I * lTand-19 of the housing 2. the compressing ReibungBbrenise, which thus of the parts 10 -. 19 bestehtg thus transmits the Bramsmoment from the locked-rotor 9 to the secondary stills Standing housing 2. In Fig. 3 , 1 to 8 denote the same parts with the same function as in Fig. 1. The secondary gear 9 is not only rotatable on the drive shaft 1 , but also axially displaceable in 8erings- and again has the drive toothing 10 for the inner disks 11 on its circumference, while the housing 2 has the retaining toothing 12 for the outer disks 13 . If the hydrodynamic circuit is empty, the friction brake consisting of parts 10 to 13 and 23 is open. When the hydrodynamic circuit is filled, the hydrodynamic pressure of the circuit fluid acts in the axial direction on the inside of the secondary wheel 9, whereby the latter with its disk 23 compresses the disk pack 11, 13 under the counter-holding effect of the wall 24 of the housing 3 2. The friction brake is thus closed automatically by filling the hydrodynamic circuit, while the secondary wheel 9 can rotate freely when the hydrodynamic circuit is empty, thanks to the friction brake that is now open. The springs 16 arranged between the drive shaft 1 and the secondary wheel 9 in connection with a known sliding ring device causes the friction brake to open when it is empty.

After a predetermined time, which corresponds to the braking time of the secondary wheel 9 , the timer valve 32 opens so that the pressure oil from the external pressure source can now flow through the connection 31 to the cylinder chamber 30 , whereby the closing piston 29 with the disk 27, the coupling toothing 28 with the coupling toothing 25 brings into engagement, as a result of which the secondary ring 9 is now supported against the housing 2 in the form of a sole. Only after this closing of the form-fitting connection 25, 289, 26 is the hydrodynamic circuit filled, likewise via a time switch valve (not shown). The braking torque of the hydrodynamic brake is thus transmitted from the secondary wheel 9 to the housing 2 via the positive connection 25, 28v 26.
