1877.1877. Klasse 63.Class 63. DICK & KIRSCHTEN in OFFENBACH a. M. Wagenaxbüchse.DICK & CHERRIES in OFFENBACH a. M. Wagenax rifle. Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 16. August 1877 ab.Patented in the German Empire on August 16, 1877. Fig. Ι forms the longitudinal section of the Axbüchse b fastened in the hub α. Between the hub α and sleeve b there is a space c which allows the sleeve b to play in the hub α. In order to prevent the rotation of the bushing b in the hub α , the nose d is cast onto the former, which engages in the hub α at g and also finds its place in the iron ring e at g. The iron ring e, its upper view in connection with the cross section. the sleeve b Fig. 2 represents and its. Cross-section is shown in Fig. 3, is in closest connection with the hub α. The lugs f embedded in the wood of the same prevent the ring e from turning. The purpose of the ring e is to prevent the lug d from damaging the surrounding, soft wooden parts through the to and fro movement of the bushing b in the hub α , and consequently allowing the bushing b to rotate in the hub α . The fixed connection of the bushing b to the hub α is made by two thick rubber rings h (cross section Fig. 4, top view Fig. 5) and i (cross section Fig. 6, top view Fig. 7). These serve to secure the bushing firmly in the center of the hub and are brought into position in such a way that ring h is first drawn over nose d onto bush b , the latter then into the prepared hub already provided with ring e a pressed and then the ring i is inserted. In order to fasten the bushing b in the hub α , the iron cone k (cross section Fig. 8, top view Fig. 9) is placed on the bushing in the opening of the same size by means of a key which engages in the holes /. screwed into the rubber ring i. The brass capsule m conveys the end of the bushing and serves as a lubricant container for Patent-Ax; but it stands beyond all relation to the new can-construction, in that it can be replaced by any closure. The patent claim is based on the fact that the rifle is not, as before, firmly in the Wheel hub is wedged and any material it receives from the wheel, immediately the ax resp. transmits the associated car. Fortune of the rifle at the ends surrounding rubber rings and the clearance allowed for the bush in the wheel hub If the material is broken, the shock is considerably reduced, and thereby the durability of the Axes increased and the smoother driving of the car equipped with it.
