relates to a device for applying adhesive or the like to material webs.
It has been known for a long time to use adhesive with an adhesive application roller that is fed from the inilen

(See U.S. Patents 884,927 and DAS 1,115,120).

It is imperative that you keep it free of adhesive.

The advantages of the glue supply from the inside are manifold: Elan avoids the conventional glue applicator with spraying glue applicator rollers and glue containers, which through, -, complicated adhesive circulation system constantly with fresh. Evaporation of the substance: In the case of the K? At first, any spraying or evaporation is excluded and - instead of a circulation of adhesive, a certain pressure in the adhesive supply is sufficient, which can be easily generated by static gradient pressure or by means of compressed air.

.The 'rfindung now consists essentially in the use of permeable pieces of glue made of porous material; which are designed according to the shape of the desired adhesive application and on their underside, with which they are placed on the adhesive feeder .are connected to the adhesive supply. The adhesive will not splash out of such fine-pored material even at higher speeds, since it is held in the fine pores by capillary action. However, as soon as the surface to be covered is brought up to this adhesive-saturated shape piece with a certain pressure, the adhesive is pressed out and taken over by the jerk piece. Through the capillary action. Or through the pressure exerted on the Ylebstof from inside:;? # The pores both fill up. Circulation until the next contact with the workpiece, so that fresh adhesive is always available. - - Foam rubber, felt, sintered metals and sintered plastics can be used as materials. - The supply of the adhesive from the rotating, outside with the

Individual bores are made or by means of one or a few larger bores, to which distribution grooves in the surface of the cylinder or iri the underside of the porous pasting stitches connect. Finally, it is also possible to insert a porous plug with an applicator head into each bore of the cylinder jacket and to form an adhesive ornate to be glued from a corresponding number of such stoppers, although there is no closed adhesive application, which is often not necessary. The advantage here is that the cylinder: can also be provided in a regular, optimally close arrangement with corresponding bores, which, depending on V1vJzl, are either closed or provided with an adhesive application stopper. Instead of the circular plug heads presupposed above, square or rectangular plug heads can also be provided, and the bores so ante. be arranged so that the heads complement each other to form a closed surface. In this way, a closed adhesive application is also obtained. -The fastening issue is also solved with the plug design. The large-area pieces of paste format are mechanically fastened by SPaiu1bLinder, which are placed around the cylinder and anchored in the for @ iat pieces. This anchoring can be done by means of an embedded wire mesh. To prevent the pieces of glue from changing, needles can also be provided on the cylinder surface, onto which the pieces of glue are placed. The cylinder that supplies the adhesive must be easily replaceable without spilling the adhesive, so that it can be stored in the solvent, for example, in the case of interruptions in operation, so that the adhesive does not harden in the pores. For this purpose, the invention consists in that the cylinder is rotatably mounted by means of a centrally arranged adhesive supply pipe in a hollow shaft providing the drive and can be pulled out for removal that the "outer substance supply line is connected. *, which also applies to 1 '@ i; be
