Die Vorrichtung besteht aus ein, zwei oder mehreren Bohrern a, welche in einem Gehäuse b drehbar gelagert sind. Bei Verwendung mehrerer Bohrer ist ihre Entfernung voneinander so bemessen, daß sie um ein gewisses Stück ineinander greifen. Die Windung der benachbarten Bohrer sind entgegengesetzt, also links- und rechtsgängig. Die Lage der Windungen zueinander ist so bemessen, daß die Kreuzungspunkte sich berühren. Die Wirkungsweise ist nun folgende: Die Bohrer werden beim Einführen in die Retorten gedreht und bohren sich in den Kokskuchen ein.
