Description
The invention relates to a life preserver, consisting of a buoyant annular body of soft, resilient material and an outer attached at four locations thereon tether, wherein the ring body has at least one embedded, a closed geometric figure forming reinforcing insert, to which the mooring line by means of flexible connectors is attached.
There are already closed-cell lifebuoys of the type mentioned Foam with a core in the form of a solid hard plastic or metal tube known, which is designed so that an elliptical deformation of the ring a sufficient force is opposed, whereby the foam surrounding the pipe, which forms the main material of the lifebuoy, essentially for dimensional stability nothing contributes. As a result, such a soul is comparatively high Weight on. If such a lifebuoy is thrown to a person to be rescued, so he has a relatively high kinetic energy, which causes an injury, especially on the head of the person.
The object of the invention is to create a lifebuoy which is improved in comparison and which, on the one hand, eliminates the risk of injury to the person to be rescued when thrown, and on the other hand is deformed as little as possible when being lifted with the same. This is achieved according to the invention in a lifebuoy mentioned at the outset in that the reinforcement insert consists of two lines, one of which is a circle near the inner edge of the ring body and the other is a square circumscribed by this or both intersecting diamonds with long perpendicular lines or short diagonals, the two lines touching or crossing each other in the middle between each two of the flexible connecting pieces being connected to one another at these points and the connecting pieces being attached to both lines.
It is true that floating bodies with embedded bands are known per se, however, unlike the present invention, these are not used for prevention the elliptical deformation of a ring.
When the lifebuoy according to the invention is being lifted up under load elliptically deformed, this results in a deformation of at least two triangular-like ones Areas bounded by the two lines in connection with a tensile load acting on both lines. The deformation of the triangular Areas is a pressure acting on the soft, resilient material of the ring body or shear deformation, so that high forces can be absorbed here. Of the lifebuoy according to the invention is therefore a very small one using a Weight-bearing reinforcing insert or the lines forming it relatively very resistant.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing.
F i g. 1 bis 3 zeigen je ein Ausführungsbeispiel eines erfindungsgemäßen Rettungsringes im Schnitt durch die Mittelringebene.F i g. 1 to 3 each show an embodiment of a lifebuoy according to the invention in a section through the center ring plane.
The lifebuoy according to FIG. 1 consists of the schwimmfähiaen annular body 1 made of soft, resilient closed-cell foam and an externally mounted at four locations thereon tether 2. A one component of the rescue ring forming the reinforcing insert is composed of two lines 3, 4, of which the line 3 a in the vicinity of the inner edge of the ring body 1 lying circle and the other line 4 form a circumscribed square of this. Both lines 3, 4 touch each other in the middle between each two of the flexible connecting pieces 5, 6, 7, 8 through which the holding line 2 is attached to the ring body 1. The lines 3, 4 are connected to one another at the contact points 9, 10, 11, 12. The flexible connecting pieces 5 to 8 are each connected to both lines 3, 4, naturally at the points where they are the greatest distance from one another.
6, 7 bzw. 7, 8 bzw. 8, 5 zu der zugehörigen Verbindungsstelle 9 bzw. 10 bzw. 11 bzw. 12 hin leicht radial nach innen durchgewölbt sein.According to a non-illustrated, compared to FIG. 1, a slightly modified embodiment, the four sections of the outer line 4, starting from two adjacent connecting pieces 5, 6 or 6, 7 or 7, 8 or 8, 5, to the associated connection point 9 or 10 or 11 or 12 slightly arched radially inward.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the reinforcement insert in the ring body 1 consists of two lines Y, 4 ', which both form intersecting diamonds with long or short diagonals that are perpendicular to one another. The other details correspond to those according to FIG. 1. The connection points of the crossing lines 3 ' and 4' are denoted by 9 ' to 12'.
The embodiment according to FIG. 3 corresponds essentially to that according to FIG. 1 except that the both lines 3, 4 are guided outside of the connecting pieces 5 to 8 in hoses 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, each formed of an arranged between each two connecting pieces foil piece 21 will. The lines 3, 4 are as in the embodiment according to FIG. 1 connected to each other at the points 9 to 12 and, since they are surrounded by the hoses 13 to 20, can shift somewhat with respect to the ring body 1 in the event of a deformation.
