Es ist bekannt, Glanzgoldprägungen durch heißes Auftragen von Blattgold mit Hilfe eines trocknen Grundiermittels herzustellen. Zu diesem Zweck wird gemäß der deutschen Patentschrift 87649, Kl. 11, das Grundiermittel zweckmäßig in Form einer Folie verwendet und das Blattgold auf dieselbe aufgelegt. Bei der Herstellung der Prägung wird alsdann das betreffende Stück Metallfolie mit dem Papierstreifen von der Rolle abgezogen, abgeschnitten, auf den zu behandelnden Gegenstand c gelegt und vermittels eines heißen Stempels auf den letzteren aufgepreßt. Weil aber der heiße Stempel nicht direkt mit der Metallfolie, vielmehr mit dem Papierstreifen in Berührung- kommt, so fällt die Goldprägung matt aus. Um der letzteren Hochglanz zu geben, läßt man den heißen Stempel zurückgehen, zieht den Papierstreifen ab und senkt den Stempel nochmals auf die Goldfolie, wo er zum zweiten Male einen Druck ausübt. Dieses Verfahren leidet an dem Übelstand, daß dasselbe einerseits langwierig ist, andrerseits ein besonderes Grundier- und Klebmittel benutzt werden muß, und endlich, daß beim Abziehen des Papiers die Prägung vielfach zerstört wird.It is also known to roll up the metal foil b according to FIG. 1 of the drawing in connection with a narrow and thin paper strip α on a roll /. Beim Gebrauch dieser aufgewickelten Farbfolie wird gemäß Fig. 2 der Papierstreifen α über eine scharfe Kante oder einen dünnen Stab e gezogen, so daß er sich infolge seiner Geschmeidigkeit von dem Foliestreifen d löst. Der letztere wird demzufolge allein auf den mit der Prägung zu versehenden Gegenstand, c geschoben. Ist dies geschehen, dann wird er von dem übrigen Streifen getrennt, und die Prägung kann in der bekannten Weise erfolgen. Um nun mit einem Grundier- und Bindemittel versehene Metallfolien bequem auf den mit der Prägung zu versehenden Gegenstand c auftragen zu können, soll dieselbe gemäß Fig. 3 ebenfalls in Verbindung mit einem Papierstreifen auf eine Rolle/ aufgerollt und der Papierstreifen, ähnlich wie bei dem bekannten Verfahren, gemäß Fig. 2 über eine scharfe Kante oder einen dünnen Stab e gezogen werden, so daß die als Grundier- und Klebmittel - dienende Folie d mit der daraufliegenden Metallfolie b sich in gerader Richtung auf den Gegenstand c vorschiebt und der heiße Prägestempel unmittelbar auf die Metallfolie einen Druck auszuüben vermag. Die als Grundier- und Bindemittel dienende Folie b wird am zweckmäßigsten aus einem geeigneten Klebstoff, wie z. B.
