Solange die Flotte dünnflüssig ist, können die Schaufelräder infolge der in dem Hauptpatent beschriebenen Formgebung durch den Strömungswiderstand der Flotte in Rotation versetzt werden. Bei dickflüssigen Flotten ist dies Jedoch nicht mehr ohne weiteres möglich und es tritt leicht der Fall ein, daß die Schaufelräder ohne Drehbewegung von dem Hauptrührglied durch die Flotte hindurchgeführt werden.
