Description
In der ersten Zusatzanmeleung (Z 8411 IX/57 a) iot ein Scheideprisma mit Prismenelementen aus doppelbrechendem Material angegeben, mit dem eine Entfernungsmessung in einem verhältnismäßig großen Teil des Sucherbildfeldes oder auch im gesamten Sucherbildfeld durchgeführt werden kann.combined viewfinder ... and _Untfer = agsmesser- device for photographic and cinematographic cameras 2nd addition to patent application Z 7892 IX / 42o from 23.3.1g64 by the main application Z 7892 IX / 42o and the first additional application Z 841'i IX / 57a it is known that for the construction of a finder rangefinder, in particular for single lens reflex cameras, particularly advantageous solutions are obtained if separating prisms are arranged in the viewfinder image plane which consist entirely or partially of birefringent material. These separating prisms have the effect of uniting the light rays coming from two eccentric partial pupils on either side of the optical axis in a common exit pupil which coincides with the eye pupil of the observer's eye. In the first additional notification (Z 8411 IX / 57 a) iot specified a separating prism with prism elements made of birefringent material, with which a distance measurement can be carried out in a relatively large part of the viewfinder image field or in the entire viewfinder image field.
It has now been shown that it is especially in the case of cameras for the amateur It is expedient to give the user the option of measuring distances according to the coincidence principle only in part of the viewfinder field, preferably in a central one part of the viewfinder field to lift. This will avoid.,. that the user accesses the Focus control too-, spent a lot of time and interested too much distracted by other observations and attitudes. The invention is concerned with the task of using a separating prism with prismatic elements made of birefringent material. _ To create finder rangefinder systems, that meet this requirement.
Some users of cameras with viewfinder rangefinder devices give preference to the split image indication over the mixed image indication. A further education the device according to the invention. also solves this, task; it gives the: possibility t, a distance measurement using a separating prism made of birefringent material to be carried out according to the principle of sonality. A remarkable advantage of this solution is that the parting line, along the one setting according to the split image method is possible, any shape can be given. Other ladder configurations of the invention offer -the possible-. keita a mixed image indication in the viewfinder field of view and to combine a sectional view indication in any way.
The common feature of the finder rangefinder units according to the invention with an Ocheid prism according to the main patent Z 7592 iV42o or the first additional application consists in the fact that the viewfinder beam path is also flat Polarizers (Polarization filter) are arranged, optionally in combination with foils made of birefringent material.
The invention is explained with reference to FIGS. 1 to 6, which exemplary embodiments for combined finder and range finder devices show: Pig. 1 shows schematically the structure of a finder range finder device according to the invention. 5a and 5b are rays emanating from the center of the eccentric partial pupils into the Collapsing prism 6 composed of birefringent prism elements. 10 is a field lens. 11 is an interest rate reversal system through which a real Image is designed in the plane of the field stop 14. Considering this The image is made with the eyepiece consisting of the two interests 12 and 13.
According to the invention, the real viewfinder image is now plane, that is to say in the immediate vicinity Near the finder mask 14 or a surface polarizer 20 coinciding with it arranged between 21 and 22. If this surface polarizer is oriented so that only light rays of one or the other direction of oscillation (5a and 5b) pass through leaves the other, on the other hand, holds back, the viewfinder field covered by it appears Illuminated only through one of the partial pupils. One Distance measurement according to the coincidence principle, it is not possible to _ only do the usual sharpness control, the accuracy of which depends on the aperture of the partial pupil and the telescope magnification in the entire viewfinder beam path.
Fig. 3 schematisch
dargestellt.
The arrangements of surface polarizers and birefringent layers shown in Figures 2 to 13 are only to be regarded as examples. In order to ensure that the boundaries of the measuring field appear sharp at the same time as the image of the subject in the viewfinder, it is only necessary to arrange the birefringent foils in a plane in which a real viewfinder image is created. In the case of viewfinder arrangements with a lens erecting system, this will generally be the second real viewfinder image plane. The surface polarizer can be arranged separately at any point in the light path after the birefringent foils. will. If one restricts oneself to the mixed blind indication and waives the fact that the boundaries of the measuring field appear sharp at the same time as the viewfinder image, 00 it is also possible to arrange the surface pelariser 20 with the birefringent foil 23 'on its light incidence side immediately before or after the separating prism' 6 .
