Device for the separation of solid components from rather air flow
The invention relates to a device for separating solid constituents
from an air flow, especially for vacuum cleaners, using a cylindrical one
Air guiding chamber, _ which the air tangentially with the flow direction directed towards the floor
ng is supplied and removed centrally on the top side via an outlet opening.
abgenommen. It is known that solid constituents from an air flow can thereby be reduced
divide that one has a primary air flow with a secondary one. Air flow acted upon,
by which the edge zones of the primary air flow are brought into a rotating motion
in such a way that their movement counteracts the primary air flow.
With such a device, e.g. fly ash can be removed from heating exhaust gases
will. For this purpose, the exhaust gas flow is passed through an air duct
and tangentially on the walls of the air guide chamber against the flow direction @ des
Directed secondary air jet blown in the exhaust gas flow.
The departed
solid components, i.e. * the fly ash, are on the bottom side at the edge of the air duct
removed.
The invention is based on the object; this well-known facility
. for small appliances, especially household appliances, so that they can be used for dust separation
can be used for vacuum cleaners. According to the invention this is achieved by
that the bottom of the air guide chamber is built under a collecting space that is closed off from the outside
which is connected to the air duct via at least one, preferably slot-like,
Opening is connected. To generate the primary required for the separation
and secondary air flow, it is advantageous in the air guide chamber by suction
to create a negative pressure at the outlet opening, so that the enriched with dust
Air with the secondary flow is introduced tangentially into the air guide chamber.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention and the mode of operation are based on the drawing
described. The Fig.l shows in elevation and the -Fig.2 in plan an air guide "chamber
1 'and a collecting space 2 below this chamber. A floor 3 separates the two
Spaces from each other. At the outlet opening 4 of the air guide chamber 1, a negative pressure is created
generated so that over the pipe socket 5 tangential to the wall of the air duct
l 'and directed against the floor 3 an air stream is sucked in: with the pipe socket
5 is a suction hose 6 with corresponding suction nozzles or the like. tied together. The sucked in
Air flow runs with the dust particles in the manner shown in dashed lines
on the wall of the guide chamber 1 downwards, then circles on the floor
3 with the deposition of dust in the edge zone 7 and then leaves via a centric
standing air flow the exhaust nozzle 4. The deposited in the edge zones 7
Dust particles
fall through a slot-like opening 8 into the collecting space 2. In addition, the
Outlet opening 4 should be closed with an inserted coarse filter 9. -In order to
avoid that with a closure of the suction nozzles or the, Saugaehlauehes 6 in the
Air guide chamber 1 a negative pressure occurs, which leads to a conveyance of the deposited
Dust particles would lead against the filter 9, a second nozzle 10 is provided,
which is arranged similar to the nozzle 5 and closed by a vacuum valve 11
is. If excessive negative pressure occurs in the air duct 1, the opens
Valve 11, whereby an air flow, which is parallel to the air flow over the guide nozzle 5
runs, let into the air duct 1 vhrd. The Fig.3 shows in a schematic
Representation of a hand-held vacuum cleaner in which the air duct 15 is the central part
a three-part vacuum cleaner housing is formed. The part 16 takes the drive motor
with the fan on, through which the outlet opening l? Negative pressure in the chamber
15 is generated. The dust sucked in via the nozzle 18 and the suction pipe 19 becomes
again blown tangentially into the chamber 15 and through a slot-like opening
20 deposited in the collecting space 21. In order to avoid that when the suction nozzles 18
Dust falls back into the air ducting chamber 15 from the collecting space 21, is a fall-back cover
22 arranged so that the sdi litz-like opening 20 in the direction of the through the
Handle 23 given movement a pivot point for the vacuum cleaner is shielded.
