In the known boiler firing systems, which are operated with both coal dust and oil , neither coal dust nor combustion air is blown into the combustion chamber from the coal dust nozzles during the time in which only oil is burned, ie these nozzles remain unused. Between the core air nozzle and the jacket air nozzle there is then an annular cross-section in the burner, which does not contribute anything to the combustion of the burned oil. > The object of the invention is to make this annulus usable during combustion. This is achieved according to the method according to the invention, in that when the burner is switched to pure oil operation, it is switched over so that combustion air is fed to the pulverized coal nozzle.

in Geschlossenstellung
Sauerstoff zur Verbrennung des Öles heranzuführen,When switching over, the sta-u # feed line to the burner is closed and a line with combustion air is connected to the dust nozzle behind in the direction of flow. The method according to the invention is particularly advantageous when burning oil which, compared to the coal dust burned at other times, has to be burned with significantly more oxygen. The additional amount of oxygen can be brought close to the oil cone with the combustion air blown through the coal dust nozzle. In the case of the burner that is required for carrying out the process according to the invention, a sliding cover plate is attached to the connection point of the coal dust supply line to the duct space of the dust nozzle, and an annular slide is attached to the connection to the combustion air duct for, if necessary, a partially welded closure of the slide in the space delimiting the annular space Jacket pipe angeoräneti. For the tangential introduction of the combustion air into the annular space when the ring slide is open, guide plates can be arranged in front of the slots, which, when positioned appropriately, provide the combustion air supplied to the coal dust nozzle with a twist explained in more detail: The burner used in the firebox wall 1 consists of an oil supply pipe 39 arranged in the center at the end of an oil atomizer nozzle 4 is attached, a pipe 5 for the supply of core air, a jacket pipe 6p through the nozzle 7 a coal dust can be supplied with air mixture and an outer tubular jacket 8 "-the is connected with interposition of a conical Verbindungestüokes 12 having an extended skirt portion 9 * the combustion air is 9 through the terminal 10 the casing part and is supplied with a branch channel 11 to the tube 5, in the conical Connecting piece, 12 i A swirl insert 13 is provided, which is arranged displaceably on the jacket tube 6 in order to regulate the swirl of the combustion air. Throttle valves 14,15 can be used to, Robnmntel 8 and Pipe 5 supplied-quantity-of combustion air & 4 regulates
.will. After the previously known regulation failure
the supply of the coal dust and the carrier gas to the dust nozzle 2 was blocked during pure oil operation by a closure device, so that the annular space 16 between the pipe 5 and the jacket pipe 6 'remained unused. To carry out the method according to the invention, a displaceable closing element is arranged in the transition from the connection 7 to the annular space 16, which closes the space 16 in the closed position against the connection 7 so that the combustion air supplied to the space 16 does not flow into the connection 7. A ring plate 17 or a pipe section 18 , for example, which can be adjusted in the axial direction of the burner, can be used as the closure member. When using a ring plate 17 displaceable in the axial direction of the burner to 'close' the rear wall of the room 16 , a ring slide 19 is used to introduce combustion air into this room, which is adjusted by a lever mechanism or the like, preferably simultaneously with the ring plate 17 and thereby exposing pre-behened slots 20 in the jacket tube 6 , while the hanging plate 17 is brought into the closed position. When using a pipe section 18 , the ring slide 199 is unnecessary because the pipe section 18 in the front position releases the supply of coal dust from the connector 7 to the annular space 16 and covers the slots 20 in the jacket tube 6 , on the other hand, in the rear position, both the connector 7 from Space 16 separates and at the same time releases the slots 20. If an annular slide 19 is used, it is possible to change the amount of combustion air supplied to the annular space 16 by adjusting it. In order to impart to the inflowing with open slots in the space 16 combustion air also a swirl, baffles 21 may "be arranged on the circumference of the jacket tube 6 and the annular slide nineteenth process of the invention and a correspondingly shaped burner, it is possible the annular space 16 and to supply the dust nozzle 2, through which the coal dust carrier gas mixture does not flow through pure oil firing, to a particularly beneficial use, which primarily consists in bringing the combustion air flowing out of the annular space 16 closer to the oil jet emerging from the oil atomizer nozzle 4 In addition, it is possible, through the enlarged nozzle cross-section, to bring in more air or oxygen to burn the oil,
