The present invention relates to a method for producing knocked-out embroidery, which enables both silk and cotton and other yarns, as well different yarns at the same time towards the fabric prepared for later knocking out embroider without these threads becoming crumbly.
So far one has soaked the substance in question with chloroaluminum, so that it has becomes crumbly after heating. This method could only be used for silk embroidery , but not for cotton embroidery, as cotton is made of chlorine aluminum becomes crumbly and, like the fabric on which it is embroidered, crumbles.
The new method now differs from the previous one in that it uses it chloric acid of comparatively low strength used instead of chloroaluminum and work is done in a dry way, whereby one is able to do the prepared fabric with any yarn and with different, as well as with different colored To embroider yarn without the embroidery becoming crumbly and changing its color.
According to the new method, after bleaching with chlorine, the dry state is wetted with a very dilute chloric acid solution of about 1/2 ° B. until completely soaked and then dried by centrifuging at normal temperature. The fabric, which is still strong enough, is then embroidered and, after embroidering, exposed to a heat of around 60 to 80 ° C. Heating causes the chloric acid treated fabric to become brittle, while the embroidery remains firm, regardless of whether it is made of silk, cotton or other thread. Even mercerized yarn, which has already lost its strength as a result of the mercerization, can be embroidered onto the fabric prepared with chloric acid according to the new process, without the embroidery that is subsequently knocked out becoming too weak. After the embroidered fabric has been heated, spread it on a heated flat table top and knock it out with sharp brushes. When it is knocked out, the fabric, which has been made brittle by the chloric acid under the action of the heat, completely disintegrates, so that the embroidery remains.
