Der vorliegende Eissporn besteht aus einem Bügel A aus Metall, welcher um den Absatz des Stiefels pafst, an dessen Aufsenseite mittelst der Schraube B befestigt wird und sich mit den Klammern A¹A¹ fest gegen die flache Innenseite des Absatzes anprefst und so an dem Schuhwerk vollkommen festsitzt. An diesem Bügel A ist ein zweiter federnder Bügel C um die Stifte D drehbar befestigt. Zwischen den Bügeln A und C ist im Drehpunkt die Knaggensicherung α c angebracht, welche verhütet, dafs der Bügel C sich durch eigene Schwere um die Stifte D dreht, ohne dafs er unter Anwendung von Kraft bewegt wird. Die Zacken C¹ greifen in das Eis scharf ein und verhüten jedes Ausgleiten. Das Aufklappen des Bügels G geschieht durch Drücken auf den Stift E und kann sowohl mit der Hand, als auch ebensowohl mit dem anderen Fufs bewirkt werden, so dafs man gar nicht nöthig hat, die Hand, welche dabei leicht beschmutzt werden würde, zu gebrauchen. In derselben Weise geschieht das Zurückklappen des Bügels C.
