Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Erzeugen von Rauchwolken durch Verdampfen von Ölen, Wachsen od. dgl. mittels eines elektrischen Heizwiderstandes, insbesondere für Spielzeuglokomotiven, wobei am Boden des das Verdampfungsmittel enthaltenden Behälters ein dünnwandiges und einen engen Querschnitt aufweisendes, elektrisch beheiztes Steigrohr in Form einer Kapillare mündet und das Steigrohr den elektrischen Heizwiderstand enthält. Bei einer solchen Ausnehmung nach dem Hauptpatent wird das im Steigrohr enthaltene Verdampfungsmittel, das auf Grund seiner Zusammensetzung geeignet ist, Rauchwolken stoßweise aus der Kapillare austreten zu lassen, durch den Heizwiderstand erhitzt. Es ergibt sich hierbei eine naturgetreue Imitation der Rauchbildung der Großtechnik, z.
