Description
- Elektrolyt für Elektrolytkondensatoren Gegenstand des Hauptpatentes ist ein Elektrolyt für Elektrolytkondensatoren, der aus Alkohol, Wasser, Alkanolamin, Borsäure und einer aliphatischen Dicarbonsäure hergestellt ist und 18 Mol Alkohol mit 1 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatomen, 1,3 bis 4,3 Mol Wasser, 0,65 bis 1,35 Mol eines Alkanolamins, 0,1 bis 0,7 Mol Borsäure, 0,6 bis 0,8 Mol gesättigte aliphatische Dicarbonsäure mit 4 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen und 0,05 bis 0,25 Mol ungesättigte aliphatische Dicarbonsäure mit 4 bis 10 Kohlenstoß'atomen gelöst enthält. Der Elektrolyt nach der Lehre des Hauptpatentes zeichnet sich durch eine stabile Kapazität und einen stabilen Gasdruck im Kondensatorgehäuse, geringe Schwankungen im tan 8, niedrigen Reststrom, keine Kathodenkorrosion, geringe Formierzeit der Anodenfolie und ein geringes Impedanzverhältnis bei niedrigen Temperaturen aus.
- Bei einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform nach weiterer Lehre des Hauptpatentes, bei der statt 0,65 bis 1,35 Mol eines Alkanolamins etwa 0,12 bis 0,22 Moi eines Alkanolamins und etwa 1 bis 1,1 Mol Ammoniak verwendet werden, ist der Temperaturbereich der möglichen Anwendung von -20 bis 85°C auf -40 bis 100°C erweitert.
- Nach weiteren Lehren des Hauptpatentes wird bevorzugt als Alkohol Äthylenglykol, als gesättigte Dicarbonsäure Adipinsäure, als ungesättigte Dicarbonsäure Fumarsäure oder Maleinsäure und als Alkanolamin Triäthanolamin verwendet.
- Der Elektrolyt nach Lehre des Hauptpatentes hat sich sehr gut bewährt. Es hat sich jedoch gezeigt, daß die anodischen Teile außerhalb des Wickels, wie Anschlußlaschen, Niete und Anschlußklemmen, während der Montage und bei einer künstlichen Alterung des Kondensators Dämpfen des Elektrolyten ausgesetzt sind, was zu Korrosionen führt.
- Im übrigen ist es bei festen Elektrolyten bekannt (vgl. die USA.-Patentschrift 2 830 237), Polynitrophenolate als Hauptanion zwischen 1 und 30 Gewichtsprozent zu verwenden.
- Da bei festen Elektrolyten das aufgezeigte Problem der Korrosion praktisch nicht auftritt, hat die an sich bekannte Verwendung von Polynitrophenolaten für Elektrolyte zur Weiterentwicklung des Elektrolyten nach der Lehre des Hauptpatentes im Sinne einer Korrosionsverhinderung nichts beigetragen.
- Der Erfindung liegt folglich die Aufgabe zugrunde, den Elektrolyten nach Lehre des Hauptpatentes so zu verbessern, daß Korrosionen der anodischen Teile verhindert werden. Diese Aufgabe löst die Erfindung dadurch, daß der Elektrolyt 0,7 bis 0,8 Mol der gesättigten Dicarbonsäure, 0,05 bis 0,035 Mol der ungesättigten Dicarbonsäure, 0,0 bis 0,7 Mol Borsäure und 0,02 bis 0,06 Mol Dinitrophenol oder Trinitrophenol gelöst enthält. Durch den Zusatz von 0,02 bis 0,06 Mol Dinitrophenol oder Trinitrophenol, wodurch teilweise die Borsäure ersetzt wird, wird überraschenderweise die Korrosion der anodischen Teile außerhalb des Wickels verhindert. Um bei einer Verminderung des Borsäureanteils weiterhin einen ausreichenden Gehalt an Ionenbildnern zu haben, wird der Gehalt an gesättigter aliphatischer Dicarbonsäure auf 0,7 bis 0,8 Mol und der Gehalt an ungesättigter aliphatischer Dicarbonsäure auf 0,05 bis 0,35 Mol erhöht, soweit die Löslichkeit dies jeweils zuläßt.
- Eine bevorzugte Ausführungsform ist wie bei der Lehre des Hauptpatentes dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Elektrolyt statt 0,65 bis 1,35 Mol eines Alkanolamins etwa 0,12 bis 0,22 Mol eines Alkanolamins und 1,1 Mol Ammoniak enthält. Nach weiterer Lehre der Erfindung wird bevorzugt als Alkohol Äthylenglykol, als gesättigte Dicarbonsäure Adipinsäure, als ungesättigte Dicarbonsäure Fumarsäure oder Maleinsäure und als Alkanolamin Triäthanolamin verwendet.
- Der durch die Erfindung erreichte Vorteil ist vor allem darin zu sehen, daß Korrosionen der anodischen Teile außerhalb des Wickels verhindert werden. Im folgenden wird die Erfindung an Hand eines Beispiels erläutert.
- Beispiel Es wurde ein Elektrolyt folgender Mol-Zusammensetzung hergestellt: Wasser .......................... 3,1 Äthylenglykol .................... 18 Triäthanolamin ................... 0,17 Ammoniak ...................... 1,1 Adipinsäure ...................... 0,77 Fumarsäure ..... .... . 0,17 Trinitrophenol . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 0,052 wobei dieser Elektrolyt sich von einem der in der Tabelle 1 des Hauptpatentes beschriebenen Elektrolyten dadurch unterscheidet, daß 0,40 Mol Borsäure gegen 0,052 Mol Trinitrophenol ersetzt und der Gehalt an Adipinsäure von 0,68 auf 0,77 Mol erhöht wurde.
- Mit diesem Elektrolyten wurden Elektrolytkondensatoren 50,uF/75 V getränkt und diese bei einer Betriebsspannung von 75 V einer Lebensdauerprüfung von 250 Stunden bei 105'C ausgesetzt. Am Ende der Prüfung wurden die Kennwerte gemessen und bei 20 Kondensatoren die nachfolgenden Resultate erhalten: Schwankung der Kapazität, °/o +1 bis +4 Schwankung des tau 8, % . . . . +10 bis -f-30 Reststrom bei 105°C nach 250 Stunden . . . . .-. . . . . . . . . etwa 1 #tA je Stück Kathodenkorrosion ......... keine Aufbauzeit der Anode bei 109 V nach 250 Stunden ........ 15 Sekunden Impedanzverhältnis-Z(-40°C) : Z (+20°C) ... 3,8 Impedanzverhältnis -Z (-20°C) : Z (+20°C) bei 1000 Hz vor dem Versuch bei 105 ° C . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1,6 Man sieht, daß diese Resultate wesentlich besser sind als die, welche mit den entsprechenden in der Tabelle 1I des Hauptpatentes angegebenen Mischungen erzielt wurden, bis auf die Impedanzverhältnisse bei -40°C und +20°C, welche praktisch unverändert sind und unter dem maximal zulässigen Wert von 5 bleiben. Das verbesserte Ergebnis erklärt sich dadurch, daß das Vorhandensein des Trinitrophenols selbst in geringer Menge ausreicht, um die verunreinigenden Ionen, wie Cl', SO," usw., auszuschalten. Außerdem verschwindet während des Betriebes des Kondensators diese geringe Menge an Trinitrophenol, indem sie sich elektrochemisch und in geringerem. Maße chemisch umwandelt, um einen Elektrolyten zu bilden, welcher dem in dem Hauptpatent spezifizierten entspricht, wobei das elektrolytische Medium, in welchem sich die anodische Elektrode befindet, während des Betriebes durch Einwirkung des Trinitrophenols gereinigt wurde.
Claims (6)
- Patentansprüche: 1. Elektrolyt für Elektrölytkondensatoren, der 18 Mol eines Alkohols mit 1 bis #6 Kohlenstoff atomen, 1,3 bis 4,3 Mol Wasser, 0,65 bis 1,35 Mol eines Alkanolamins, Borsäure, eine gesättigte aliphatische Dicarbonsäure mit 4 bis 10 Kohlenstoff atomen und eine ungesättigte aliphatische Dicarbonsäure mit 4 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen enthält, nach Patent 1259 468, d a d u r c h g e -kennzeichnet, daß er 0,7 bis 0,8 Mol der gesättigten Dicarbonsäure, 0,05 bis 0,35 Mol der ungesättigten Dicarbonsäure, 0,0 bis 0,7 Mol Borsäure und 0,02 bis 0,06 Mol Dinitrophenol oder Trinitrophenol gelöst enthält.
- 2. Elektrolyt nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß er statt 0,65 bis 1,35 Mol eines Alkanolamins etwa 0,12 bis 0,22 Mol eines Alkanolamins und 1,1 Mol Ammoniak enthält.
- 3. Elektrolyt nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als Alkohol Äthylenglykol verwendet ist.
- 4. Elektrolyt nach Anspruch 1, 2 oder 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß er als gesättigte Dicarbonsäure Adipinsäure enthält.
- 5. Elektrolyt nach irgendeinem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß er als ungesättigte Dicarbonsäure Fumarsäure oder Maleinsäure enthält.
- 6. Elektrolyt nach irgendeinem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß er als Alkanolamin Triäthanolamin enthält. . In Betracht gezogene Druckschriften: Belgische Patentschrift Nr. 520 810; USA: Patentschriften Nr. 2 757140, 2 801221, 2 830 237, 2 872 629.
