Die Reibmaschinen für Küchenzwecke der bis dahin gebräuchlichen Art leiden an dem Uebelstande, dafs die abgenutzte Reibtrommel infolge ihrer Form ein Nachschärfen durch einen Jeden nicht gestattet, vielmehr mufs das Schärfen von sachkundiger Hand vorgenommen werden. Dazu kommt, dafs zum Nachschärfen besondere Werkzeuge nothwendig sind, die nicht Jedermann besitzt, und müssen die Maschinen daher behufs Anschärfens stets zur Fabrik gebracht werden. Aber es gestatten diese Maschinen mit Trommel auch nur ein Nachschärfen in gewissen Grenzen, weil dies Schärfen stets ein Vergröfsern der Oeffnungen in der Trommel zur Folge hat, und daher sind diese Maschinen weniger praktisch für den Gebrauch.
