Der vorliegende Striegel unterscheidet sich von den bisher gebräuchlichen Striegeln zum Reinigen und Putzen von Pferden u. s. w. im Wesentlichen durch die besondere Herstellung des striegelnden Theiles aus einem einzigen Stück Blech oder einer Blechplatte. Bei den bisher bekannten Striegeln bestehen die gezahnten oder kratzenartig gebildeten Theile aus einzelnen Stücken, welche reihenweise auf einer gemeinschaftlichen Platte durch Niete oder dergl. befestigt sind. Bei dem den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildenden Striegel wird der kratzende Theil einfach dadurch gebildet, dafs die Blechplatte an dieser Stelle in scharfe Wellen geformt ist, in deren Wellenberge die Zähne eingefräst, ausgestanzt oder ausgeschnitten werden. Der glatte Blechtheil wird dann flach umgelegt, zweckmäfsig um einen versteifenden Bolzen, so dafs er auf den Rücken des gewellten Theiles zu liegen kommt und dann durch Nieten und Umbörteln der Kanten mit dem anderen Theile verbunden werden kann.
