Kolben versehene und durch Preßluft betriebene Kolben-Zylinder-Antrieb 11 und 12 für den beweglichen Saugkopf 13. Zu seiner Führung dienen in der Abhebeplatte befestigte Hohlbolzen 14,15. Die Bohrung des Bolzens 14 ist mit einer Unterdruckquelle, jene des Bolzens 15 mit einer Preßluftquelle verbunden, um im Hohlraum 13 α des Saugkopfes beim Abheben des Ziegels aus der Unterform 16 einen Unterdruck und beim Abstoßen des Ziegels vom Saugkopf einen Überdruck zu erhalten. (Saugköpfe zum Abwerfen der Ziegel mit Preßluft sind an sich bekannt und bedürfen daher hier nicht der näheren Beschreibung.) An der Abhebeplatte 10 ist unter Zwischenschaltung einer elektrischen Isolierung 17 ein Messerrahmen 18 mit Schneidkante 18 α befestigt. Er umschließt satt den Saugkopf 13, der an seinem Umfang mit Verschleiß-Dichtungsleisten 19 besetzt ist. In deren Gleitflächen sind quer zur Vorschubrichtung verlaufende Kanäle 19 α eingearbeitet, denen über Bohrungen 19 & aus Kanälen 13 & im Saugkopf ein Preßluft-Ölgemisch zugeführt wird.
