Bei einer bekannten Muffenrohrabdichtung dieser Art weist der in den Muffenspalt hineinragende Dichtungsteil nur eine Dichtlippe auf, die sich beim Einführen des Rohres in die Muffe gegen die Innenwandung der Muffe anlegt. Die Folge davon ist, daß beim Einbringen der heißen Vergußmasse in die Rohrmuffen ein Teil dieser Masse in das Rohrinnere durchsickert und dort erstarrt. Die im oberen Teil der Muffen durchgesickerte Vergußmasse ragt dann wie Eiszapfen in das Rohrinnere hinein und bewirkt, daß sich an den Tropfstellen im Rohr Ablagerungen bilden und die Rohre schnell verstopfen.In a known socket pipe seal of this type, the one protruding into the socket gap Sealing part only has a sealing lip, which is against the inner wall when the pipe is inserted into the socket the socket puts on.
