Description
Parabolic antenna with an essentially horizontally lying horn Invention relates to a home parabolic antenna with essentially horizontal lying, widening from the exciter antenna to the parabolic reflector Horn, which can be pivoted around a horizontal axis of rotation and on one around a vertical axis rotatable base plate is arranged.
An antenna of this type known from French patent specification 1259 139 is supported at the wide end of the homing via a support ring comprising the horn on support rollers which are mounted on the base plate. At the close Homende is based on the base plate, a bearing provided for disconnecting. The hom axis and the horizontal axis of rotation coincide. The antenna is moved around this axis by a traction device, e.g. B. a belt or a chain, which is looped around a drive wheel connected to the swivel motor attached to the base plate and the wide end of the horn and is guided over a lateral shoulder on the support ring. The disadvantage of this antenna is that, despite its great length and the resulting great weight, it is supported at only two points, which are also far apart. This results in uncontrollable deformations, in particular of the freely projecting reflector, which cause deviations from the intended beam path. In addition, it is very difficult to manufacture the large support ring with sufficient accuracy. It is also very expensive.
The invention is based on the object of a home parabolic antenna type mentioned at the beginning, while avoiding these disadvantages, more expedient than the known Shape antenna; and it consists primarily in that the horizontal lying axis of rotation parallel to a surface line of the horn outside of the same runs. The axis of rotation can be supported on more than two bearing points. As a result, if the inside of the antenna is kept free of disruptive built-in components, a good one and stiff mounting of the homoparabolic antenna is achieved. To bridge the bearing distances no large masses with strong struts are required, so that the antenna can be made light. After a further step the Invention is the parabolic reflector with at least one special support supported on the horizontal axis of rotation. It is therefore only in a small way Subject to deformations. As a result of the high rigidity of the construction great accuracy when tracking the antenna is possible.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the drive means are for Pivoting the antenna around its horizontal axis of rotation in the direction of the axis of rotation seen in front of or behind the antenna. They are therefore easily accessible. This is particularly with regard to repairs and maintenance of the drive means advantageous. In addition, their dimensions are inconsistent with those of the Antenna bound so that they can be manufactured economically. To induce the antenna movements can be hydraulic means, e.g. B. attacking the horn from the outside hydraulically extendable and retractable ram, application. Guarantee this smooth movements. Furthermore, to compensate for the imbalance of the horizontal axis of rotation moving antenna counterweights or suitable spring systems be provided. In this case, only small torques are required to pivot the antenna necessary.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention a directional antenna for sending and receiving radio signals.
The exciter antenna, not shown, is arranged in the tip of the horn 1 , which is designed as a cone and is supplied with the energy via corresponding leads from electronic devices that are also not shown. At the open end of the horn 1 , a reflector 2 is connected at an angle to the axis of the horn 7 , which is a part of a paraboloid. At the top, an opening is provided between the horn 1 and the reflector 2, which opening is enclosed by a cylindrical part 3. The radiation emitted by the exciter antenna and deflected and directed by the reflector 2 is emitted by the horn parabolic antenna through the opening. They also intercept the radiation to be received.
The conical hom 1 rests on a horizontally lying axis of rotation 4 which extends parallel to one of its surface lines and which is rotatably supported in several bearings 5. The bearings 5 are arranged on a base plate, not shown, which is rotatable about a vertical axis. The pivoting of the antenna about the axis of rotation 4 is effected by means of a ring gear 6 which, via the. Tip of the horn 1 is pushed. As shown in the drawing with dashed lines, the ring gear 6 can also be arranged outside the horn 1 on the axis of rotation 4.
During the pivoting of the antenna about the axis of rotation 4, the individual points of the horn axis describe Xteis arches. This movement of the horn axis 7 about the axis of rotation 4 can be mathematically detected during the automatic tracking of the antenna and taken into account with appropriate control devices.
The reflector 2 is supported by supports 8 arranged on the axis of rotation 4. Hydraulic means can be used in conjunction with the supports 8 to pivot the antenna. The antenna can also be balanced in terms of weight by means of suitable weight compensation. This weight compensation can be done by appropriate counterweights or by a suitable spring system.
