Die von den Erfindern angestellten Versuche haben ergeben, -dafs die Ceriumsalze (Sulfate, Nitrate) entweder in reinem Zustande oder im Gemische mit anderen Salzen die Eigenschaft besitzen, die unter Zuhülfenahme von Silbersalzen erhaltenen, auf Glas, Papier oder dergl. befindlichen Bilder abzuschwächen, ohne dafs dieselben Uebelstände entstehen, wie unter An-. wendung von Ferrisalzen. Die Cerverbindungen, welche hier in Betracht kommen, sind die Cerisalze oder auch die Gemische der Cerimit den Cerosalzen. Vorzüglich eignen sich zu obigem Zweck die Sulfate, insbesondere das Cerisulfat Ce (S O4J.,, die Doppelsalze, wie z.
