Mischbatterie mit einem hohlen Küken von Kugelform. Zusatz zum Zusatzpatent:
1161731
116173 1. Mixer tap with a hollow ball-shaped chick. Addition to the additional patent: 1161731 The invention relates to a mixer tap with one-touch operation and with a hollow ball-shaped plug pivotable about two axes with an inserted spindle valve and with an insert piece with two passages arranged interchangeably between the housing body and the ball plug, the one on the side facing the ball plug Forms seat for the ball plug, according to the additional patent 116173 1.
The aim of the invention is the uniform and centric pressing of the insert against the ball plug with the aid of the inflow pressure. In the mixer tap according to the additional patent 1161731, the sealing pressure between the ball plug and the insert depends on the elasticity of an O-ring between the ball plug and the housing body, which decreases with aging and other influences. The invention provides precautions to allow the inflow pressure to act on the insert, and thereby to press against the plug, as is otherwise known in valve construction. In the case of mixer taps, especially those for low pressure or overflow operation with very significant pressure differences between the individual inlets, this cannot be done without further ado, because the pressure differences would lead to strongly asymmetrical and thus tilting pressure forces. According to the invention, tilting is avoided in that two O-rings are arranged between the housing body and the insert piece, one concentric to the housing, the other concentric to the inlet and closely surrounding it, which delimit a pressure chamber between them, the housing body and the insert piece, whose water filling acts practically centrally on the rear total surface of the insert.
The Ab b. 1 and 2 show in section and in plan view of the housing base 31 - with the insert 14 removed - an embodiment of a device according to the invention. After Ab b. 1 , the spherical plug 2 with the upper part 3 together with the spindle axis 6, cone 10 and sealing washer 13 is arranged in the housing 1. The housing 1 is closed at the bottom by the housing base 31 , which is held by the threaded ring 30 . The arrows show the inflow of cold or warm water through the pipes K and W, the passages a and b and the outlet when the valve cone 10 is open at c into the space X and to the outside. The two O-rings 7 a and 7 b are arranged between the rear side of the insert piece 14 adapted to the spherical plug 2 and the housing part 31. O-ring 7a lies concentrically on the outer edge of the recess for part 14 in housing part 31, while O-ring 7b is eccentric to this, close to one of the tubes W or K protruding beyond the bottom of the recess, up to part 14, as a rule is placed around W, as shown. Both O-rings have the same thickness and are lightly pressed. If, during operation, the space between the O-rings 7a and 7b is filled with water, the insert piece 14 is uniformly applied with a corresponding pressure, i.e. H. without jamming moments, pressed against the chick 2. Here, the effective pressure behaves according to the ratio of the area of the inlet cross-section of pipe K to the area of the insert 14. The contact pressure is very high when the inlet is closed due to the then high, static pressure of the water, whereas it is very high when the inlet is open - as is the case expedient and desirable is decreasing considerably.
