Description
Aircraft taking off and landing vertically with at least one vertical or tilted forward in the fuselage or in a nacelle arranged lifting engine Die The invention relates to an aircraft taking off and landing vertically with at least one arranged vertically or inclined forward in the fuselage or in a gondola Lift engine.
In the known embodiments, the outlet nozzles are conditional due to the low height of the chassis, only a short distance from the ground. at unprepared places are from the hot, with great energy on the floor impinge-. the gas jets whirled up dust and debris, causing -the engines can be damaged as a result of the recirculation. Even with paved launch sites hot exhaust gases get into the inlet through the recirculation and decrease the power of the lift engines.
The inventors have therefore set themselves the task of eliminating these disadvantages to reduce.
According to the invention, each lifting engine is to increase the distance the outlet nozzle can be extended upwards from the ground.
The lifting mechanism is preferably each closed off at the side Shaft arranged and extendable so far that the outlet nozzle is above the: fuselage or the gondola comes to rest so that air is sucked in by the thrust jets.
This increases the mass throughput of the entire system and thus also the thrust increased. In addition, by mixing the exhaust gases with fresh air the exhaust gas temperature and the exhaust gas velocity are significantly reduced.
It can be provided flaps that in the retracted state of Lifting engines close the fuselage or nacelle opening and the fuselage or nacelle contour add to.
There are preferably several cover flaps around the fuselage or nacelle opening distributed around and adjustable at an angle to favor the suction effect.
The upper edge of the fuselage or nacelle shaft can be rounded, to make the entry of the sucked air cheaper.
There is preferably between the outlet nozzle and the fuselage or nacelle cladding a guide body is provided to support the air intake, which is when retracting of the engine on the rounded upper edge of the fuselage or nacelle shaft.
The invention is shown in the drawing, for example. It shows Fig. 1 shows a side view of an aircraft with installed vertically in the fuselage Hoist drive units, the extended position of the lift drive units is shown in dash-dotted lines indicated, F i g. 2 shows a section along the line II-II in FIG. 1, Fig. 3 a Single engine arrangement on an enlarged scale.
In an aircraft fuselage 1, a shaft 2, which can be closed at the top and bottom by flaps 3, 3 ', 4, 4' or: 5, 5 ', is provided for receiving lifting engines 6. These are extended and retracted by means of hydraulic rods 7, 7 'which can be telescoped into one another. The rods 7, 7 'lie behind a cladding 8 of the fuselage shaft 2, which is rounded at the upper edge 9. The engines can be extended so far that a gap 11 is formed between the outlet nozzles 10 and the upper edge 9 of the shaft. According to FIG. 3, a single engine 12 is arranged in a fuselage shaft 14 laterally covered by a fairing 13 so that it can be retracted and extended. The lifting drive mechanism 12 is retracted and extended by hydraulic rods 15, 15 'which can be telescoped into one another and which are each arranged in a recess 16, 16' behind the cladding 12. The cladding 13 is flanged at 17 above. A nozzle-shaped guide body 18 is adapted to this upper edge 17 and lies on the rounded portion 17 in the retracted state of the engine. In the operating position of the engine, the guide body 18 lies between the outlet nozzle 19 and the upper edge of the fuselage shaft and promotes the intake of air. Hydraulic linkages (not shown) are used to adjust the guide body 18. In the retracted state of the engine 12, flaps 20, 20 'close the upper fuselage opening and 21, 21' close the lower fuselage opening and complement the fuselage contour. The upper flaps 20, 20 'and the lower flaps 21, 21' can be fixed in an inclined position. The upper flaps thus facilitate the intake of air and the lower flaps have a shielding effect.
